Anglussian Dangers

There are a number of English words that may sound VERY strange to Russian ears, and are best avoided when trying to make yourself understood in the FSU in a sort of Pidgin Russian.

ENGLISH WORD (reminds of)
- Ebay (sexual intercourse) Russian word первый (pervey) - First, or first course. Sounds almost exactly like the American English slang term for PERVERT... Use with caution Russian word Но (No)- Can mean either 'but' or 'yes' depending on context. Hilarity ensues when you are expecting a 'yes' answer and keep hearing her say 'но'
