I am not using AD anymore to talk to her.. "well i got a few more to use up"

I am going through her local agency, Which is cheaper,,,

*shrugs*
what more can be said?
..
likely reality?
it's not about how much it costs you,
she gets paid the same rate, whether you go  thru the local agency, or thru the larger AD.
you just eliminated  AD's cut,
the affiliate and the girl are  still getting theirs. ;)

contact her directly, her openess to that is when you have a hint that she may have a legitimate interest in you.

I have all her contact info, so I am starting to use it...

great!

I am thankful for all the advice, I am listening.

For what its worth, we don't know the details of your correspondence ,so can only guess at the overall "picture" as presented.
You are in a far better position to evaluate the specific context.

The advice given is based on generalities and is  given to advise you what the * likely * real situation is on the  ground in the FSU,  it is equally aimed at others reading in as similar scenario.

As for my trip to Ukraine,

I don't have any plans in paper yet still doing so research..

For what its worth, you have PLENTY of time to line up prospects by means that are more likely to be in contact with a truly interested girl..
one into snowboarding even and one that might live in an area you intend to go snowboarding in.

You can concentrate on your curent girl, but if you don't switch to direct communication, and her also pursuing that a bit,
i'd really advise you to move on.

I will most likely go Bukovel for a good part of it.
I need to find out still if they have a halfpipe?

Than I'd contact some people off  social networking sites and ask?
or special interest sites on snowboarding?

It might even lead into friendships (male or female )
in the FSU based off a common interest.. expanding your social circle isnt going to  hurt your odds of meeting a girl ,a friend of a friend etc...

So If all fails I can just visit some more ski hills.  :D

I was thinking of sending her and her parents some maple syrup.
To try the address out.

It's not bad to send a gift,
and yes I guess it could at least verify she lives where she says she does, but not much else.
Her interest in you contacting her directly ,  what she says and how she says it when you do so , are of far more value.

so i'd send it if you really want her to try maple syrup. no other reason ;)

I am looking at this whole situation closer, Because of the communities advice.

I don't think I will be doing any of those 4 day money spending sprees..

I will just go snowboarding,,,

That's fine too!

I guess it's just a shame from my viewpoint,
as with the time you have, it wouldn't be much  trouble to line up someone that you would likely have far less reservations about.
Only as example: but if you contacted someone off a free site.. like facebook (vkontake.ru,  mamba.ru even ICQ etc etc)that was into snowboarding, and you had a given time you were going to ukraine to do so.. struck up a dialog, she had called you, etc.
you would be far more comfortable that they were sincere, and truly interested in meeting you.
yes there would still be a chance of insincerety..just less likely.

if your current girl is serious, she should be showing you by
her actions, not words (its the same they'd expect from you)
(in her case : actions like speaking to you directly, not thru any agency regardless a reduced rate ;) )

Good luck!

...this Ukraine girl talked for several minutes how annoying it is to hear Americans improperly call it "THE" Ukraine ...

Annoys me too.
Do we say 'the' Texas? The Germany?
There is no Russian word for 'the' so I don't know where it came from either.

Blame it on 'The' Beatles!

Remember that song called Back in 'The' U.S.S.R.?

... "Well the Ukraine girls really knock me out
They leave the west behind "   :)
