He may not be trying to impress by the destination?
 he may actually want to just meet them , and as he already stated , in a warm location.
 
Just a thought, he may prefer to impress them with who he is as a person,not where he can take them on vacation?
 
It appears he is in France , while Paris is impressive,
 inviting them to his home country might not be so very much?
  His original question  was about where he could take a RW easily.
and on the difficulty in getting a shengren  visa for France, for some FSU women.
 
You make it sound like RW wouldn't want to visit Turkey,
 yet in the next breath state its a good place to go to simply meet RW already there.
