Hey ML, maybe you missed my question.  I'm curious as to when you made your first trip to Russia and your first trip to Ukraine.

Jack, is this going to be a multi-part quiz?

Are we ALL going to post our chronological resumes somewhere?   8)

Point me to the thread where this info for everyone is/will be posted.

Also, avoid writing letters to young hotties,  of course, if you're vulnerable to the power of their beauty.
I know some men with holes burned in their minds got as the result of pursuing  young RW beauties. Not sure that all of those men  realize it though;D

Those men probably already had a hole in their head before chasing the Hot! Hot! Hot! RW.  Either that or a hole burned in their trousers from their loins being on fire. ;D

"10 years or more" does not suffice.   You could lie to Jack.
Hey Jack, my first trip to Moscow was 1987.  So what!

Just so I understand.... are you saying to write the same letter to say, 25 girls all at once as in having 25 names in the "TO" section of the email so they know up front that I"m writing to all of the others?   If so... interesting concept!!

Never do that.  RW know you are writing others, just as they probably are corresponding with other men.  So no need to rub their noses in your WMVM approach.
Who knows, maybe you visit only one woman and the city you visit is hers.  Or she agrees to come to Kiev to meet you.  I did the latter 10 years ago, and it was perfect.  And yes, many UW were away on holiday.
I made my trip 50% romance and 50% travel.  Thus, I also went to Crimea because of the sights.  So maybe you write to women in Crimea (e. g., Sevastopol, etc.).

No multi-part quiz at all ML. I was just amazed that you had made 40 plus trips.

Point me to the thread where this info for everyone is/will be posted.

ML, you tell us everything else about your trips, from number of vibrators you bought on one trip (5) to when and how you kiss your dates.

I didn't know such a simple question would cause you to react in such a manner. From what I can recall you have answered almost every question asked of you.  Seems like a simple enough question to me, when did you make your first trip to Russia,  when did you make your first trip to Ukraine.   But it's apparent you do not want to answer this.   :o

"10 years or more" does not suffice.   You could lie to Jack.

Lie!   Not ML.   If he doesn't want to answer this question he must have his own reasons. And you must have forgotten ML's stance on his replies on RWD.

Plus, on this discussion board, honesty is the most important thing to try to get across, so it is not an insult, but rather just my true feelings.

Hey Jack, my first trip to Moscow was 1987.  So what!

I think that's so cool Gator.  1987.  Four years before the break-up of the Soviet Union.  I made my first trip in 1996.  See there, I don't think it's so difficult to remember when one made their first trip to Russia. You remember yours, I remember mine.

Gator as you were there during the true Soviet times did you stay at the Hotel Rossiya in Moscow?   Did you notice anyone who was following you around?   As an American in Russia at that time, the height of the cold war, I can only imagine you had to have been followed.

I have a client of mine that told me about his first trip to Russia.....I think it was Moscow, it was a tour( probably one way at that time), they were being shown a museum, his attention was across the street, so he and his wife decided to go look....in a matter of moments several police were around them.....as one of tour guys came by to 'get' them.....as they walked back the tour guy told them that next they stray from the tour, they will be arrested.......this was late 70's.

No, you are missing the point.  The gals that go to Florida for Spring break are from good families and live in good cities.  Same for Odesa during holidays.  Probably one in a thousand gals or guys end up with something permanent from Spring break flings.

Not denying good looking gals in Odesa.  But the permanent residents have problems as pointed out by others; and the visitors are like on Spring break.

And since you have read some of my posts, better reread again regarding my background and why I happened to make so many trips to FSU.   8)   I acknowledge that my situation is different from probably 95% of guys here, so I get comments like yours frequently.  No harm, but the knee jerks are just a little tiring.   :)

My MO works perfectly, depending on what the assignment or task is.

I wonder who said 'the pemenent residents' have problems? Mostly likely from those that made poor decisions or choices!!! I have been there many times....and don't see the problems...or maybe I should say, it is easy to spot them so I avoid them.  :whew:
Girls are same everywhere...good ones and bad ones.....

BTW...no knee jerk reaction...just wondering how one can say to stay away from a city....or maybe you have been there so many times, know the city well enough that the girls there are all bad?

...There are many approaches to dating methods and I hesitate to argue that any of them are better than others. They all seem to work for some people. I can only offer advice on the one that worked for me which also works for some others.  Which approach you use depends a lot on your personality and comfort zone, as well as where you live....

Agree with you 100% there CalMissile.

Although that's the part I always found to be a bit amusing for lack of a better word. But maybe that would also depend upon the man's personality et al...

Stayed with Agriculture Attache of the Netherlands, a friend I met when in the UN.  Not arrested but interrogated upon departure for 5 minutes by three stern faced officials (story below).

Although overall I thought the average "rating" of girls was slightly higher in Kyiv, the most beautiful woman I saw in Ukraine was in Odessa - and, as I posted last year, she got on the same bus as me to go to Kyiv.

My Ukraine experience is very limited - just one trip, with a week in Kyiv, a week in Odessa, and a day trip from there to Nikolaev.  I'm an architecture buff - I love looking at wonderful buildings, which is why I think St Petersburg is the most beautiful city in the world, but Kyiv possibly would be nicer to live in because of the variety of styles and the hills (which makes me feel more at home!).  Sorry to those who live there, but most of what I saw of Nikolaev left me cold - dozens of featureless apartment blocks, and a CBD that doesn't seem to try to be anything special to anyone.  Of course all other FSU cities have those blocks too, but Nikolaev seems to be totally dominated by them.

Getting back to the point of this thread, I would defer to all the members who say that Odessa is full of good-time girls and others who aren't really serious.  However, Calmissile made a good point that everyone from everywhere goes to Odessa for summer holidays.  I wasn't meeting anyone in that city, so can't comment on anything in that sphere other than the quality of the "eye-candy," and ran out of things to do and see after five days.  However, if you have dates lined up (whether with one woman or several) there would surely be enough to do and see together.  The Opera House is a must, and I think that the best time I had was probably the day that I visited Otrada Beach and got the amazing (as in NO safety features!) cable car back to the top of the hill.  If you can convince your lady to share that trip you should be in for a very good time together!

+1 That St Pete's is the most interesting amazing city I have ever visited. I too loved the architecture but was most fascinating was the history about the city...the stories, fables, handed down through generations.....if it wasn't for them dang police....I digress

As far as odessa...I spent most of my time in early fall and late spring, before and after hot humid weather. I do prefer smaller type centre to be able to walk around and get around....  It is true though, what to see is little but I have friends to hang with...

...July should not be too bad.  Since you are going to meet women you have lined up on "LoveMe" it probably won't make much difference when you go since the women you want to meet are probably not real and don't know who you are anyway. ....

Jack, as an aside, I have a friend who worked for NBC and was stationed in Moscow for the Olympics (I believe) and then stayed there for 4 or 5 years. He would bring Stoli and caviar back to NY and that was the first time I had Stoli chilled and served the proper way. I had tried caviar before but this one was so salty you had to spread it over a lot of butter on a cracker. He would tell stories of being followed everywhere he went. Even when he would be hanging out with young Muscovites on his free time.

Mendy knows the guy who I'm talking about.

Guys...

Thanks so much for the suggestions... and fireworks as well!!  :-)

To answer some questions:

I only live about 3-4 hours flying from Ukraine so I can conceivably do a weekend type trip there, and as I work for the airlines, it's not so difficult to get some time and travel there or even St. Pete, but not without the Visa hassle for us US citizens.

I agree that using an agency charging per letter is nonsense.  What a waste, really.

I find that EM is a website I feel comfy with and has the "Expression of Interest" link before writing an email and getting rejected that I like.   Plus, you can send a phone number and/or email address via that email.

@Calmissile:  Thanks for your great post of info!   I definitely don't go for the "model type" girls at all.   I'm more for a girl who can get ready in 5 minutes and look good in jeans if need be vs 5 hours like I've had in the past.   I'm perfectly content with a very nice and fun loving 6 vs a hot/sexy 9 or 10.... but that's just me.   I'm an "Anti-High-Maintenance" kinda guy.

I've noticed two cities off the normal beaten track and I'm a bit intrigued by... Dneprxxx and Zaparozhe?

Has anyone been to either of these places... and what did you think regards to meeting women there and the city in general as a tourist place to visit.

Kap
