Actually, you are an embarrasment to fellow Americans.  You clutter the forum multiple times on a daily basis to push your anti-Ukraine agenda.  It's not enough to state your position and let it be, instead you repeat the same thing over and over similar to a professional propagandist!

Since you approve of Russian invading and annexing Crimea and then invading Eastern Ukraine, you have a warped sense of values and morals.  Since you apparently live nearby me, let me propose to you that I come over to your place and steal some of your property.  We can then negotiate if you can get some of it back.  Of course it will be a Win-Win because since you are a pacifist, you won't have the option of geting it back.  Your 'Win' will be that I have not taken all of it!

Your comparison holds no water.  You are not the Russian nation, so if you come a knockin, I'd have no problem sending you packing with a pat on the head and perhaps an exit wedgie.  The Ukrainians are free to fight Russia if they feel it is in their best interest.  The USA doesn't have to involve itself in ANOTHER foreign conflict just because calmissile wants to get back at V. Putin. That isn't good enough.  Our military isn't at the beck and call of the world.

Was our military ever at the beck and call of the World, or did the USA just believe in spreading our form of "democracy", even if it did backfire on us sometimes?  However don't be to sure that our current pacifist status will remain.  Word is that Romney might run again after all; or even if he doesn't at least a Republican hawk might still win.

I remember reading that the Iranians holding our people later admitted they were 'scared shitless' when Regan was about to take over.

I remember reading also that top Soviet leaders had some worried times when the Reagan 'mistake' got out.  His 'bombing of Soviet Union will begin now' remarks.

I doubt Russians would be quite that scared (as were Iranians) of Romney or any hawk, but probably would give them some pause.
