Maybe it will help if I offer some clarification of my position towards agency owners on RWD.
I have always welcomed agency owners, translators, personal guides, travel agents - and any other individuals/organizations offering services to members of the RWD.
As I see it, they provide some of the very best information around as to the current status of things in-country.
Yes, it is important for the reader to 'index' his acceptance of comments from agency owners with a full appreciation of the potential profit motive - but that does not render the advice they are offering invalid. It is just another factor to weigh as you make your decisions.
So . . . the way I see it is:
* Agency owners are welcome as contributing members of RWD and are expected to behave in a non-commercial manner and offer advice to the best of their ability.
* If an agency owner wishes to make a commercial post, they have available the Member to Member Exchange section of the board which was established for exactly that purpose.
* Obviously, competitive disputes directly between agency owners are NOT to erupt on the board - that is what the PM system and email is for.
Let me know of any questions.
