Yeah and hunting.  I grew up on the Ocean, and cringe on the disregard for safety on Texoma.  I tend to go where nobody will wake you to death all day.

It can be in the big water if they are running there, or we just want to tool around the lake.  It is not the ocean but it is a very pretty lake 98,000 acres of shoreline I believe.  I Explore it one acre at a time.  It is has the very thick aluminum hull and filled with foam.  Sea Arc makes a lot of the rescue boats.

Soon a little boy will be joining me and it will be time again to explore it all over again for the first time through his eyes.

It isn't the Carver I grew up on, but it sure is fun in a different way.  One day I want to catch one of the 75# catfish in the lake.  North Texas is not beautiful, but Texoma reminds me of the bays of New England a little.

Very, Very dangerous lake if you do not know the water.  Gps is not sonar people, the other boats do not show up on it.

I still am learning fresh water Striped bass, it does not behave like the salt water.  I must be getting better or lucky.  I pulled out a 30# cow from Lanier in GA.  New Fresh water record for me and bigger than most have ever caught in their lifetime on lanier.

Cool! Next time your coming to Lanier let me know! Lanier is not my favorite lake but ya might persuade me drag a boat over there. If ya caught that bass in the last year or 2 it's because the water's so low that all the fish are being forced into a small area! LOL  ;)

It was :P It was on 12lb test and a 1 oct hook though.  I call it a tie.  Fish hit my little shad, the rest were 20lb, 17 leader and 3 oct hook.  I say a loon pop up in a hurry, and told the guide to head over there.

He laughed and said we never fish over there.  Went over and I got that one and a 25 lb cow.  He laughed and laughed while the battle ensued on 12 lb test.  No way he said, I got her though on the wall now.

50lbs is my ocean best.
