Please read what I've written. I in no way stated that, "one can step straight onto a plane anywhere in America and just fly straight to where ever they want in Russia or FSU". Clearly it isn't the case like that in Europe either, I can attest to that myself.

Go on read my posts again about this, you know you want to. You may find that I say that the determining factor is where your lady is in relation to where you live. It's possible to get a tough route in Europe just as you can get an easy route in the US. Or are you saying that someone in NYC with a girlfriend in Moscow has a harder time travelling than a Norwegian living in Alta with a girlfriend in Vladivostok?

I don't need to read your post again to see it as a lame-brained remark that it was. You are undoubtedly the worse poster on this board that detests being called out on stupid posts. Well that one SJ was so stupid that I am dumber just from reading it.

Please if you will, refer to the statement you were responding to and took the time to highlight it in bold

No feathers ruffled here. The last thing I want is a big pissing contest on a message board, but there is absolutely no doubt whatsoever that it's easier to date Ukrainian wemmens LOL if you live anywhere in The EU. It's not even close to the logistics and hurdles that have to be jumped to take this on if you live in TX or CA or MN. As far as the how many women can be dated at a time well that takes some practice I would think as well as lots of money and it helps to be a good liar. I think this process is harder than it was 7 years ago. I think the scammers and professional daters are better while the men are more desperate due to being misinformed. This aint easy thats for sure.

Now, the statement was "if you live anywhere in The EU. It's not even close to the logistics and hurdles that have to be jumped to take this on if you live in TX or CA or MN." and he stated to Ukraine. Nowhere did he say anything about special circumstances or the one in 25 guys that may or may not be going to Vladivostock. He said EU to Ukraine. I ask you. Is it or is it not much quicker and less hassling for a man to get from America to Ukraine or EU to Ukraine? I didn't realize a man with such self-professed intellect as yours achieved it without any studies in geography.

Just for clarification, my wife is from Siberia and that has been the destination of most of my trips. Exactly on the other side of the world from me. Usually, 6 different airplanes, numerous transfers and taxis and generally about 35-40 hours in duration to arrive at my destination (one way). Yeah, it is a traveling nightmare but I wouldn't trade it for EU to Ukraine at any time

Yes, admittedly he said TX, CA or MN. But dude, you realize that Europe covers a little more area than London and Paris? And Ukraine is a little larger than the Kiev too, right?

And FWIW, although I guess you'd not admit it, we both know his inference was that it's always easier to travel from anywhere in Europe to the FSU compared to the US. That friend, is BS.

You really should work on your insults; subtle usually has more impact. :)

Yeah, well, never said that it's always more difficult from Europe or even mostly. It's the broad sweeping BS generalisations that get my goat.

No, what he said was EU to Ukraine. You keep trying to attribute something to him that he did not say and then shoot back some condescending post. Get over yourself. The length of or hassle of travel means diddly-squat. I took his post to mean he wished he was as close as you chaps in the EU. Not bragging in any manner.

I most generally call'em like I see'em  ;D It isn't my intention to insult you. I hope you didn't take it that way

I thought I said from any EU country to Ukraine. Sorry there was a misunderstanding. Now if I wouldve said from the remotest city in Norway to Yakutsk then maybe just maybe he would have a slight argument but I doubt it. Just from looking at a map it does look a hellava lot closer to The FSU from anywhere in Europe, but maybe I'm wrong. Can someone do a poll for this since polls seem to be a big hit around here?

I enjoy SJ's posts.

I think the point SJ was trying to make is the logistics beyond sitting on a plane are not all that different.

Really, if you are talking about meeting someone to share your life with, what is a day?
After the fall of communism, the biggest mistake Boris Yeltsin's regime made was not to disband the KGB altogether. Instead it changed its name to the FSB and, to many observers, morphed into a gangster organisation, eventually headed by master criminal Vladimir Putin. - Gerard Batten

The one huge advantage from the EU perspective is available vacation time.

Travel is always a hassle regardless of distance.

As the crow flies we are less than 1200 miles from my wife's home city but usually involves three flights and over an hour of driving.

PIA and two full days wasted getting back and forth.

Someone flying in from the east coast of the US could probably beat me there.
