One question I have is if the agencies can be used just for translations and gifts?

Once we have found someone it is an advantage for the agency to also deliver gifts, make reservations for apartments or hotels and maybe transportation pick up and delivery at the airport.

If I were an agency owner, I would want to help the guys completely through the process from courtship to marriage. Maybe even help with visas

Most assuredly Clyde. My agency & the way I have structured it is to be able to offer these services on an as needed basis. I also have partnered up with a couple of travel agencies so that we can even build a holiday package for you. If you & your wife wish to return to Russia just on a vacation we can provide everything from a cozy intimate stay in a Lodge on the Volga River to a fishing trip on Seliger Lake. I did ths specifically to have ongoing support for those still wishing to keep their feet wet in Russia.

The same goes for flowers & gifts & all my other services. Want to send your Mother-in-law flowers or a gift, no problem, if she is within' our area we would be happy to oblige.

To give you an example, I just had a member from this board use my airport pick up & return. That's all he used, nothing else. His girl was not in an agency & he was not in need of an interpreter or any other services. I was more than happy to help.

By structuring my services etc. in the manner I have it affords the flexibility to allow my agency to be used for more than just meeting women. I wanted to be able to offer support from the beginning right through to the marriage & beyond & am still adding to the travel agency & will continue to.

So if it is before, during or after marrige support you require, we are happy to be the agency of choice.

Boy does that ever sound like a commercial,;).

Kevin ~ I just wondered what are the biggest changes you have seen in either your business or the agency business in general.  In a previous post you mentioned that men now seem unwilling to spend as much money as before: why?

Is there more/less competition (and I just don't mean more agencies) than when you started?

Has the quality of girls declined? Is it harder to find the better girls now?

Has the rate of scamming increased significantly?  If so, in what ways?

What are the girls looking for today that is different than a few years ago?

What is going on in 2006. ...
For starters I see a lot less man making the trips seeking wife's. At the same time I see a increase in the number of guys hitting the big cities such as Kiev and Odessa for weekend parties and sex trips.

There are less agencies in the open then I saw a few years ago. Most agencies have either gone underground to avoid meeting the clients or joined networks to avoid arranging meetings and just make money on letters.  Anyone who has the time can now do a quick internet search on who is who to avoid a scam. The problem is many of the scam agencies now work under new names or have join scam networks. Even with the word out about scam network I get client weekly walking into my office after using such agencies.

The good news is their are more honest agencies today then 5 years ago.

The quality of ladies are about the same. Their are less high end models joining agencies today then in the past. But the number of educated ladies have increase.

The scammes have gotten smarter this year then in the past. The three most common scams are 1. Medical 2. Internet access and 3. English lesson. 

The medical scam is the most popular and bring in the most money. You would be surprise how much money these ladies are making.

The internet scam is a slower process $10-$30 a month but is often used against a large number of guys.

The English lesson scam is most commonly used with scam agencies or network. If you are going to pay for a English lesson get verification that the lady is getting the lesson. Two many agencies take a percentage and give the lady cash. Stick with the agency they pay the instructor directly.

Most of the ladies today are looking for a stable Man to start a family. There are less "visa hunters" today the in the past.  Charactor is more importand them looks. 

Best advice. 1. Don't fall in love with a photograph. 2. Don't send money to a photograph. 3. Video chat to make sure she not just a photograph.

I think guys are too visual to effectivly have someone make matches for them.  In a perfect world we would not care about looks and want inner beauty, but it is not a perfect world and what is hot to one guy is not to another.

This is 99% what its all about!!!!!!! I have worked with 1000,s of men and not one man has told me she was ugley, but I married her any way?

The claim about small agencies getting to know understand the RW better

Here is my exspearence of liveing and working in Tver 2 years. Know mind you that this was many years ago, but I don't think things have change in how a Russian office is run today. In the there basic services any way.

First a RW comes in to fill out a profils and photos. She has just came to an interviue no driffrent then when you or I go looking for a Job. You have your best shoes on, and you are trying to make a good inpresshion.

Put yourslef in her shoes you only show your best side it has nothing to do with how you treat a man or how a man treats a woman!!! So what did you find out about her? well you can see if she has gold teath or if she walks with a limp, but since this is a short visit you know nothing about who she is.

Hell all I could tell any man is she is hot she will do well with the men or she won't do well with the men. The only thing we know at this time is what she tells us she is looking for.

First let me tell you don't depend on what an agency tells you about an RW don't depend on what you here from us only use it as a tool to your advanage if we tell you she is not that nice!

Look and see how she treats others not the agency she wants us to think she is the best she will always try to put on her best face for us. Watch how she treats others. If you out on a date how dose she talk about other pepole how dose she act when a waitress is getting her food. How she treats others is how she will treat you in two years.

True story for you I had a man who was the best all Loved this man a girl I new for over 1 year cam to me and asked about him she liked him and wanted to meet him. So doing my job, and thinking I new her well I talked to him set up a day in Moscow for them. Well what do you know she lead him by his ? the whole day I want this I want to do that he was one pissed off man the next day!!

Second story an RW who was freinds with all the interputers in the office I new her for all most 1 1/2 years in an out of the office two and three times a week. Sweet as can be all the interputers talked good things about her how she would make a good great wife. These are the pepole who new her the best her freinds!!!

Well this girl Matched and came to U.S.A. she was back in Tver about 45 days she had treated this man so bad! So she went to stay with Doc. Woody and his wife before she went back she was such a pain to Doc Woody wife Julia. That Julia was crying because her good freind was know driveing her crazy!!!

All I am trying to say is you just don't know what you think you know when you don't know an RW on a personal levil so no agency small or big can say I know her so well!!

Trust what you see not just what your told. Some one may have a personal reason for telling you what may not be the best informashion?

Good post Marc,  I think what you said is true.  I would think a gal coming into an agency would be a lot like a guy going for a job interview.  You wear your best suit, sit up straight, try to talk intelligently and try to tell them what you think they want to hear to hire you.

Same think with first meetings with a gal.  How many guys on their first date with a stunning FSU woman would leave out a big fart?   How about after 10 years of marriage to her?   We too often go with a fresh haircut, or best clothes and tell them what we think they want to hear.  They probably do about the same.  Probably no surprise that a few months into a k-1 we find out who we think we were with is not who we were with.

Hi, I just believe no matter how well you think you know a man or a woman it has 100% nothing to do will how they will treat each other in a romance.

How pepole treat each other in the work place or as friends just plain out is not what you get in a romance, and once you have married or lived together thats when the Lion in each of us can be let out.

A big piece of advice I give many men is simple you can go back to Russia to meet the same lady 10 times trying to make sheer she is the right RW for you, but you will never know who and what you have till she comes home to you.

Once she is in your back yard not in her home in Russia. Thats when you will find out who and what you have. I have seen girls that I would have thought would make the best wives, and was 100% wrong. I have seen girls that I thought would not be good wife's, and they have turned out to be the great wife.

What that tells me is based on what I like and don't like in an woman it has nothing to do with what you like in a woman!!!

after 13 years all I can tell you about any RW is yes she seams good or no she not that nice, and based on how I feel, and what I want in an RW not on how you feel about a RW, and what your needs in your life in a wife would be.
