That's a shame X-Man. would love your thoughts on why it is taking so long if you get a chance to write them up.

It's not a race.  I met a number of women before I met my wife, and I'm damn glad I did not "settle" for one of those.  When you find the right woman, you will know.  Otherwise, keep dating and looking.  For as long as it takes...

I'm beginning to wonder if setting a time limit is setting yourself up for failure.

My winding path took me through many twists and turns before returning to the very first woman I dated in Ukraine.  And I'm glad it did.  :cheesygrin:   It was necessary for me, and setting any time limit would not have helped.

Most of my trips were to Ukraine and to be honest with few exceptions I really enjoyed myself. Maybe after 10 years one would have visited everywhere there is to visit and done all there is to do in that part of the world but I never came home wishing I hadn't gone. There were times when the emotional ups and downs were a bit much but never to the point of wanting to throw in the towel. So, if I hadn't met my wife I'm sure I'd still be at it.
