The Supreme Court just returned the ruling on the recount and all of the appeals.

Jeb Bush is now the president.

Scott,

I think you are kidding youself with regard to the purity of the average regular female disco goer, it's a pretty well known fact amongst the experienced traveler that it's easy to get a hottie to trot off to bed for a few USD in these places.  I'm not making a judgement,,, I'm merely stating a fact.  You may not like it, but it still happens every night, regardless.  I'm sure Thor doesn't like it since he goes to the discos,  maybe he choose a wife from the ladies of the disco, woe is to the man who tries to make a housewife of a hooker...

Not my choice... Everyone is entitled to chose for himself,,, I just wouldn't chose a disco girl to marry.

jb,

Are you saying that I married a hooker?????? By the way is it not easy to find a girl at discos and bring home for a few dollars. I guess you have not been to Ukrania. Maybe in Uzbekistan you can find such girls?

Yes I like discos but I am quite young compared to most men coming to FSU.

During my first visits to Ukraine and RU we went to two or three disco's.  I did not notice any working girls hanging around.  These were 'off the beaten path' towns/cities and I was probably the only foreigner present.  Never got a call in the middle of the night or someone knocking on the door with offers..

I do know a few such places in other countries though, usually huddled around military bases or red light districts.

Obviously supply follows demand.

Are you saying that those who got the knock on the door were demanding it? :)

Don't know about the "demand" part but when I had my "knock on the door" I did ask her how much. She told me Devidsot and I told her sorry I only had soruksot. She got a very disgusted look on her face and left. I had a good laugh about it anyway.

Catz,

Being the real areshole that I errrrrrr can be sometimes (Geez that'll bring it on) I was sitting in the lobby bar of one hotel and "Miss Muffet" parades her wares back and forth a few times as she has her numerous trips to powder her nose.  I happened to make eye contact with her for a second and she was quite quick off the mark.  "$200.00 please" she spurted out.  I just couldn't help myself and replied, "Sorry honey I charge a lot more than that". :D

Needless to say, quite an animated discussion with the resident pimp ensued. :D It was just too much fun yanking this idiots chain.

BC: Just FYI, the better hotels in Irkutsk, Krasnoyarsk, Tomsk, Omsk, Novosibirsk, Ufa, Moscow, Riga, Odessa and a wedge of others just to name a few, the routine is always the same when I have booked in alone.  15 minutes and they are either on the phone or at the door. Seemingly the reception people are spotting for them and give them the room number.  I don't take much notice of it these days, it has been par for the course for the past 5 years now IME. Kinda gives new meaning to "In house room service". :D

LoL... I still say no more apartments for me!  I wanna get a knock on the door!

I want to touch on a brief point here concerning one point in the thread. IMO, Pike's TR cannot be opened to comment at this point unless Dan told him when it was placed in isolation that it WOULD be opened at a later time. If not, to open the thread for discussion or even comments would violate a "word" given so to speak.

Yes, I finally did read all of the T/R, and I'll withhold my personal comment. I'll just say that I'm not at all impressed and leave it at that. Nor did I vote, because neither option really expresses my thoughts.

But, my personal opinions of Pike or his possible methods aside, we stand on principle and as such, the TR cannot be opened for comment without losing integrity.  We cannot say "We'll he's a schmuck so it's all fair game".  That would put RWD squarely in the same category as 50% of members would appear to consider Pike to belong.  He was given a 'promise', for lack of a better word, to post his trip report without comments.  That should stand.  I believe it should be made clear that in the future, the 'sans comments' will be allowed for a limited period and then opened for discussion (if that's what is deemed appropriate), but IMO, Pike's TR is off limits.

Just some thoughts,

Dave

As above
I just saw your last post. Why not change your name to Cluebatman?

It has a nice ring to it.

And BTW, I think I was staying in the flat next to Pike last time, from the sounds I could hear coming from the walls. Personally, it might be ecstacy for someone, but not for a stranger to have to listen to all night long. This is one reason I don't appreciate these types of trip reports.

Has Pike (Albert) responded to anything in the last week or two?

Some censorship should be. We all know that some children are raped and it is important to talk about it in proper way. If somebody started to enourage to raping children and write about his experiences, it will not be ok.
