English language school in Kiev - any recommendations?
« on: July 27, 2015, 12:25:43 PM »
Hi guys,

I am considering enrolling my girlfriend in an English language class in Kiev.  She knows a few words; and she can understand me a lot of the times when I speak English.  However I need to use a translator in order to explain complex topics.  When she speaks to me, she usually uses a translator; although I think the reason for this is that she may know the words she wants to say but is not confident in her pronunciation.

However, in order to bring her into Britain on a fiancee visa, she needs to pass an English language test.  I was thinking of signing her up for this so when the time comes, she can pass the test.  Do you guys know of any good places?

Or I could go the Surinder Singh route:

But that's a topic for another post  ;)

UPDATE: I've posted a question about this in the Immigration forum, if you have some thoughts or questions about that issue click here:

Thanks!

There are people advertising in the product services section here. Check in there. Interpreters may teach  and marriage agencies usually have connections with English teachers. I've heard FSU people speak English with a British accent. Since you're living there, she might want to find a teacher that knows English British style.

Fund the audits, spread the word and educate people, write your politicians and other elected officials. Stay active in the fight to save our country. Over 220 generals and admirals say we are in a fight for our survival like no other time since 1776.
