One miniscule item I might mention - some cities will turn off the hot water for a period of 7-14 days in the
summer to repair and perform maintenance on antiquated citywide systems. Find out when that might happen,
unless you prefer cold showers, LOL. In my wife's hometown of Yoshkar Ola, residents are beginning to enjoy
the availablity of individual hot water heaters ~ but those remain the exception and not the rule.

You should travel in the winter.  You will be able to observe directly whether a woman likes Quebec weather.

I made a few trips in the dead of winter, one in which I met several women.  Some of these women would avoid going outside, walking only as far as the nearest coffee shop.  Others were urging me to walk around and see the winter delights of their city such as ice sculptures. 

The latter sound like your kind of women.  Maybe one would take you to an authentic banya where after roasting in the hot room you cool off outside in snow and ice water.

Women at Elena Models receive a lot of attention, so why respond to a man who has no photo?  Send them another EOI after your photo is published.

Also, do not attach much importance to the profile.  Save the details for correspondence and phone calls.

My wife has a close friend in Moscow.  28-yo, never married and fluent in French (traveled to France frequently when involved with a French professor, now fini).  She is average looking but with a good body.  Most important, she is 100% true-hearted and intelligent.  Her goal is to marry a foreigner and have children.  If interested, let me know.  Your age is not a problem based on who she has dated in the past.

I've already heard about that shut down of hot water. It was in Sumy I think. Anyway you get off the shower rather quickly and then move on to beautiful ladies. That's not that important you know. I am expecting bumpy roads, lots of things that won't work but that's not that important. What is important is finding the woman of my dreams. Thanks again Vaughn.

Well I am not that crazy myself about our winters to tell you the truth. That's why I want to go in the Carribean if I go on vacation this winter. What you should know is when I talk with them I am making it worse than it is really.

Best of luck in your search.  It looks like you have already got some valuable advice from RWD members and now have the tools to meet the right woman.  There is a Russian saying we use a lot: "A spoon is dear when lunch time is near" ("Дорога ложка к обеду"), meaning that something should be done in time.  If you find the woman you believe is right for you, you correspond, talk over the phone, exchange sms and feel the chemistry, don't wait for the perfect weather or an impeccable bodybuilder body of yours, just go and meet with her.  It is not about the looks or cold.  Waiting for too long before you go might make the lady think you are not too serious about meeting her.

Thanks Dave for your advice. I am currently at work and was thinking about all of this again. I will begin by updating my profiles on all these dating sites saying exactly that I will be there only next july. There won't be any misleading then. I am getting so many messages right now it is unbelievable. I agree I must be very clear about that.

Ummmm actually this is more of a test for me to see her honesty. I am waiting to see her reply. I no longer trust that site anymore and really it aggravates me because the chemistry, everything was there between us. I really like everything about her, except that always present doubt on the back of my mind. I don't want to go further with these doubts, really. Don't you think I am entitled of having this cleared once and for all before going to meet her. All of this because of that site!

I'm not sure what kind of test this is.  If she had accepted your offer to take her shopping, what would it have proven?  If she accepted your offer take her to some vacation spot, how is that a scam?  Had SHE suggested these things, then it would raise a flag, but I don't see how accepting your offer is any indication of bad motives on her part. 

You observed that unlike many on the website where you found her, she didn't show a lot of skin.  Just because a website is know for scammers doesn't mean that ALL the women on the website are scammers.  You certainly have the right to stop communicating with anyone you please, but keep in mind the harm you might inflict if this woman is genuine and you treat her like a scammer.

Here is an update from LuckyLovers.net A woman claiming being from Israel with a russian father asked for my email. She was cute and was interesting so I gave her.

She turned out being from Benin with this story about her parents being divorced and being raised by her russian father, yeah whatever. She also sent me two pics of ''her supposed caucasian self'', the same woman from the site.

I've told her since she was a liar to get lost and to never ever try to contact me again. I've also told her to stop stealing pictures of other women and that I had no attraction at all for black women, none! This smelled like the nigerian scam coming...

Then I have also been asked to chat from someone who's nickname was Mammumba or something like that. Shit! Now I will get messages and chat request from Benin all the time...

Actually, I have been informed that this has changed. Singles.ru (aka mamba) now has an English interface.

When I was using those sites a few years back, there were very few westerners who knew about them, let alone any signing up and actually using the services. You have a few scammers on LL. Most of the time messages are short and profile new.
Something you should do: Select one city with a large number of profile you like and do search only in this city (except if you want to have your aeroplan platinum card).

JollyRats, Dave, Doce, Misha and Groove thanks for your comments and advices. I have decided to narrow my search in Ukraine but there are so many interesting... God it's like being in a candy store when I was a child. I understand I will have to select some, probably around 20 like doce previously told me. You know I can't run after all of them or I'll end up with nothing. I have contacted a new one I really really like from Odessa and here is what she replied to my short introductory message.

C'est sûr et certain que je vais aller en Ukraine. Odessa, Nikolaev, Kherson, Donestk, Kiev peut-être même à Rvine. Je suis à l'étape de contacter celles qui m'intéresse et après je verrai. Nikolaev c'est à peu près certain. Il y en a une là, entre autres qui vraiment m'intéresse beaucoup, beaucoup. Physiquement elle représente mon ideal de beauté. Maintenant est-ce que c'est une bonne personne???? Hello everyone,

I thought I should post an update on what's happening with me lately... if it is of any interest to any of you.

Since registering here I had chosen to no longer reply or go to NatashaClub... It is sad for the women who are sincere on that site but since I couldn't tell if it was true or not I decided to simply ignore that site.

I have been contacted by a dozen women on Elena's Models and I began exchanging emails daily with one in particular for a few weeks... but there was always something I didn't like, when I was asking for her address as recommanded in the Ten Commandments she would simply ignore my requests. Everything else was right though. She wasn't looking for money. She was understanding of the fact I would probably go to Russia only next summer, etc... I then decided to hide my profile on Elena's Models to be somewhat exclusive to her and she has done the same without my asking. But yet no answer to some specific questions at times and really it bothered me.

But as you all know I am also a member at LuckyLovers and one day the most wonderful woman wrote to me... God that I was liking everything about her so I answered her and began writing to her instead. Her name is Nadja (Nadezhda but she doesn't like her name) and is living in Moscow.

With each letters I truly could see she is the one I have always wanted so I decided to being totally exclusive to her. I know some of you won't agree but really I have no interest at all in any other woman. I don't want for other women to have illusions of meeting me since I've found the one I believe who is totally perfect for me.

She is 34 years old, a widow, and has a 14 year old son. She knows since the very beginning that I will probably go to Moscow only next summer... but yet I may be able to make it this winter for her. I'll do my best depending on my work schedule.

She answers everything I ask her, she is pretty, intelligent, clever, comes from a nice family, and most importantly I really feel having fallen in love with her as she is also. We write each others nonstop all day long. Between customers I write her, before going to the gym, after... I am always with her on my mind. I love the person she is even more than her physical appearance... but it doesn't hurt either that I find her incredibly pretty.

Never has she mentionned any money. All she wants is for me to go to her. At first she was even expecting that I could be the one relocating to Moscow but as I told her what can I do there to have a nice lifestyle? So she will be coming here for us to be together. She has told me she has done some searching about Quebec and Canada and I know she has contacted a russian woman she knows who is living in Toronto. She is so incredible, so bright and lovely. I love her positive outlook on life. She is looking at this like we will pass through any obstacles to be together.

Yes we need to meet but we both feel like we are made to be together. She doesn't care where I live or if I have this or that. All she wants is to be in love and being loved. Her friends are so tired already to hear about me... lol She also has told about me to her mother and probably others that I don't know of. All I know is I have this overwhelmed feeling for her and it has been such a long time since I have experienced it so strong... even I should say it never has been that strong. Again I feel like I already found the one. Now all I need is to find a way to go to Moscow but they keep on firing colleagues at work, even the sales manager got fired this week and I am one of the best consultants so they would not let me go for now as they've told me... She is driving me crazy literally!!!!
