Anybody get a sidebar "featured" woman?

Here's a fun question to get me started here on RWD:

Did any of you ever click/link on one of the "featured" photos on the sidebar of this or any other FSUW websites and actually end up in a relationship with that woman? (whether long time correspondence or marriage or whatever?)...the fun point being that one would suspect those photos get a lot of clicks and the women are usually very beautiful and probably get a lot of emails - and then the other interesting aspect is that probably a lot of guys click on it just to check out the pretty pictures, but then don't write thinking, "She's too hot and too likely to be deluged with attention, so why bother"?...

Nothing much to be gained from this in wisdom, but just fun to hear the stories...

Yes, sort of.  

Actually she wrote to me first. I got her message and chatted with her a bit on the very last night of a three month trip to Russia. I scribbled down her number that night, then forgot about it.

A few months later going through old work notes I find this number, remember this pretty girl from Moscow and figure I'll give her a call before I toss her number away. What a surprise. She's great on the phone, much easier to talk to then the distracted slow chat we had that one night. The best part: she's going to visit her sister on the east coast next week! I tell her she needs to come visit me in California first.

I couldn't believe it, but a few days later I'm picking her up at the San Francisco airport. What a great girl: sweet, bright, down to earth, considerate, always happy, always having a good time. We spent one fun and romantic week together I'll never forget. It didn't lead to anything serious, but we're still in touch and I'll see her again next week.

Clicked on a whole bunch of them in EM and mamba. Sent a bunch of letters (ok form letters ) and got a respectable amount of replies. Nothing serious has come from it so far...except for one very young banner girl from scanna who I have been "friends' with for a little less than a year. We exchange emails, SMS and chat on Skype regularly. She isn't husband shopping just wants to sharpen her English skills.

Well don't get me too personal but when I don't want a guy, I will also say [in some circumstances] I am actually not serious. Just some misunderstanding occur

Slightly off topic, but I was once contacted by the women on the Elinas Models advert on this site (women with short orange dress), this was over a year ago, so clearly she is either a employee of the company or still looking.

For the record, I ignored her! As she smelt like a scammer!

Thanks anyway, but no thanks, I was always happy to ignore the "beauty queens" looking for their "kings", these girls were simply not for me.

For the record, I met my wife on EM and just consider myself lucky that we met each other at the same time when we were both looking, I don't consider that the site is dishonest (but, maybe some people who use the site are), as without it I would never have met Tanya!
