The wife and I will be going to Corpus Christi, TX next week to visit old friends in this "process"........jb and his lovely wife. Things acooling down in Northern Michigan.........Corpus currently is having 80's weather. Hopefully my wife gets to experience a little "salt water" fishing. Should be a good time for all.

Please say hello to John for me, and tell him that I miss his wisdom and his sometimes crusty delivery.  What will you be fishing for:  grouper way out or redfish and snook closer in?

Is the Shiner Brewery working overtime in preparation for your arrival?  Have fun.

Gator,

I believe jb's favorite fish....to  fish for.....is "sea trout" (other name I believe is "weakfish" ?). He almost always uses "live" shrimp for most species (of fish).
If they don't catch any fish that day......they always have fresh shrimp as a consolation prize. :)

CaptB,

Please pass my regards onto jb for me.  I miss his advice and common sense in here.  His experience is missed by all.

A pretty fish, and fun to catch in the larger weights.  Good to eat with a delicate flavor, yet I find the flesh too soft for my tastes.  JB probaly knows something about cooking them that I don't know.

Please report the final score (number of fish vs. beers).

It has been too long since I have gone fishing with JB, one thing I do remember is we always caught fish and always had a good time with a bottle of Russian Standard.  ;D
