Romance-Park? Where do they get your details?

I originally met my now wife in EM, and deleted my profile as soon as we started dating seriously, however I still get regular emails from an agency/site called "Romance-Park", I read somewhere that EM sold/passed male members details to this site.

I still get emails now, and I have always deleted them all, as 99.9% of all girls appear to be models and beauty queens.

I am reluctant to email a site to take my details off when I never submitted them in the first place.

Has anybody else encountered this site or had the same emails?

Why not contacting EM about this ?
If they have sold the data they will know. If they have not sold the data and the profiles were 'leached' they will have a base to take (legal) action.

I have the same problem, but since Romance-park know my private email (that doesn't shows up publicly at EM) it seems like EM have sold my information. And I do not really appreciate this as a paying member of EM.


Also another site did take my information from EM, but can't remember the name, I deleted all information I got right away (welcome mail with registration info).

I closed my account at EM, but do not want to email Romance-park in case that they take that as a sign as interest.

My situation is exactly the same, they send to my private email address as I closed my EM account last year. Considering EM is not a free site its pretty poor to pass on your personal details without your approval!

I am sure you have noticed that the girls are just too perfect on the email photos and profiles!!

Hmmmm, I've been a member of EM off and on for a little over 4 years.  I can't recall ever receiving email from an agency. How long has this been going on?  Currently my profile is gone and membership expired. Hopefully I'll not renew it again, but is this a recent event?

Like I said, four years and no spam. So I dunno... perhaps it wasn't EM but rather a specific member or three at EM who collects emails?  This has been known to happen.  They sign on the site with model photos, and collect emails from the guys who write to them.  I'd say that is a more likely scenario, but of course, EM could also be the culprit as I really have no idea, just a guess.

Got it.. it seems this agency is based in St Petersburg.  I did a quick search and all the ladies which came up were indeed based in SP. My guess at this point is that it really wasn't EM selling your info, but rather a "plant" who went there to capture email addresses.  THAT has happened to me with other agencies.. a lady seems to be a normal member, but then turns out that her "local agency" is just using her to drum up business.  Usually the membership of the specific lady doesn't last long, but as long as a woman will keep it clean, reply normally, etc, she can probably leech addresses from the database for weeks before being discovered.

Anyway, still only a guess, but that seems a more likely scenario than EM selling your info to a single SP agency.  You really should send EM admin a copy of the email(s) and ask/tell them about it directly.

Thanks for the reply, that theory sounds likely!

We always planned on leaving feedback on EM after we got married as from our prospective it worked very well, and I think its important to let other members (Male and Female) know that it is a well run and useful agency. When we get round to leaving feedback I will also mention this!
