I see her first. I know the curve of her perfect face. Her long, slender legs swaying as she walks to meet me at the airport. Her jeans making that swishing sound as her thighs gently brush against each other with each step she takes. She scans the crowd as I playfully hide, enjoying the moment. Savoring each tantalizing toss of her hair as she turn first this way and then that, searching to find the object of her desire, me…….Ok, so I’m getting carried away and none of that happened, YET! And maybe it won’t

D-Day is twelve days away and I still don’t have a single confirmed meet. Yes I’m a little apprehensive about that. Yes I’m still going.

I’m going to have the great pleasure of meeting Mr. Daveman in Munich and we’ll share a plane ride to Donetsk. We’re gonna shoot some pool and slap some booty Ok, Dave’ll be slapping booty and maybe I’ll get to chalk someone's pool cue, how’s that? Wait a minute, That doesn't sound too good either. Ah, to hell with it, I'm confident in my heterosexuality! So BITE ME~

The Donetsk thing came about kinda by accident for me. I met a lady and then another online. Not a dating site but we’ve seen each other via cam and chatted. Both are on the young side but I didn’t know their ages until I was already toying with the idea of making a trip. I have both their phone numbers and one’s address. Exchanged a couple brief of emails with number one, who was actually number two but became number one due to…lust? Why not, that’s a good word isn’t it? Number two, who used to be number one hasn’t received any of my SMSs or calls, maybe I wrote the number down wrong. Number one who used to be number two receives my SMSs but not my phone calls…phone probably off when I call. Oh well, I’ll find out when I get there right?

When I found out they both live in the same city it got me to thinking. Then I remembered that Daveman was going to be in the area. I couldn’t remember the dates so I did a little sleuthing and decided it just might be the bestest time eva! I vacillated back and forth a few times thinking I don’t know these ladies at all. But when I start thinking that way I always counter it with, “And you “know” any of the other ladies?” I mean really, in cyber-space people can be whoever they want to be. The only real way to know is to go! Hey, I like that. “The only real way to know is to go!” So I’m going. And Daveman’s going to be there. And we are going to ROCK THAT TOWN!!!!!

I hadn’t heard from number one who used to be number two for awhile (about a week) and I had sorta written her off. I have her address and sent her some flowers a week and a half ago just because I wanted to. It went over very well and she said no one had ever done that for her before. I guess I got some points there Anyhow, yesterday was her birthday so I sent her eleven red roses. She had SMS’d me saying how much she wanted to hear my voice on her birthday so I called her twice, no answer I SMS’d her a “Happy Birthday” and in the morning I get three SMSs saying how much she loved the “soft white roses” Oh well, she likes them so it’s all good right? The next line of text is “i love you” Ok, that’s not good unless it’s in generic terms such as “I love you for sending me roses.” Not as in “I know I’ve never met you but I’m in love with you.” That’s just too creepy! Then she asks when I’ll be in Ukraine so I send her my flight info and ask her to meet me at the airport. We’ll see what happens….

In the interim I’ve been a little panicky and putting out feelers for Plan Bs. I’ve got two phone numbers from ladies off of freepersonals and a few contacts from Tagged who, if they aren’t scammers might be good prospects. Two are in other towns and the other in Donetsk. I also went thru my Scanna and EM contacts, sending emails to anyone in the relative vicinity of Donetsk. Got a response from a lady that I had a liking for but somehow she/we fell thru the cracks. She lives close to Zaporozhe and wished me well and next time I should come to visit her. If things don’t pan out I might have to make a trip out that way.

Today I started emailing another lady in Dneprovostk who is way, WAY too pretty. But she isn’t talking like a scammer yet so I’ll ride that one for awhile longer. If everything falls apart maybe I’ll hop a train and go see But then again maybe not. In her criteria she states she wants, among other things a man who is financially independent. That can mean different things but perhaps I’ll have to introduce her to Ambach

I started packing today. I was hoping to get away with taking a carry on and my laptop but it looks like that just isn’t going to happen. I’ll have to pack some presents so that’ll take up some space. I don’t understand why women can’t be content when I wrap myself in a bow, tell her to “Go ahead baby, unwrap your present and have some fun!” I mean isn’t that enough?

Ok, that’s more than enough for today. Man, I haven’t even left yet and this things already approaching tome status. And Daveman’s got to pipe in too. You guys are in for a treat, Heheheee

Heh, damn.. I shouldda known you weren't kidding about the Most Excellent Adventure TR... well, not much to chime in with as of yet, but, I can say that The Maiden (TM) has already pretty much adopted another child and has added JR to her "take care of" list. So I'm pretty sure he'll mostly survive even if we really get hammered and screw up royally (though I personally might suffer from RW Leg in Popka Affliction, which might even be pretty naughty after a few drinks anyway -- and I'm sure JR will upload the video to YouTube for everyone's viewing pleasure).

This will be a blast to meet and hang out with a fellow "enthusiast" when he's not smothered with attention from those far more attractive, as well as some of the "double dates" already planned by our guardian. and who knows? maybe the Swinging Couple be be around the square to make life extremely interesting for a while. heh...

In my opinion the primary goal is to have fun.  This should not be like working at a bad job for a bad boss.  And it seems you are in the proper mindset to enjoy your trip regardless of whether Ms. Right enters your life. 

By the way, Dnepropetrovsk is a lovely city and one can meet women quickly through Cindy Agency.  OTOH Zaporozhe is a nozzle city.  You ask what is a nozzle city?  That is where you stick the nozzle if you were giving the world an enema.  I could be wrong because I never have been to Lugansk.

Yes, you will need to discuss what she means by that.  If she is going to stay home and take care of your little princess, her baby and a common baby (calm down, just making an example, not projecting anything), she will need to know that you can provide for this and not require her to work in addition to taking care of three kids.  Its another matter if she just wants to spend her day shopping, going to the spa, lunching with her friends, etc.

Eleven days to D-Day and still nothing confirmed I have this feeling number one will wait until the last minute then make a mad dash for the finish line. Oh well, I'm just along for the ride and my plan is to have fun, makes some friends and try to come back in one piece

So not much else to write about at this point other than I made a list of things to accomplish before I leave.
1. Call Visa to let them know I'll be in Ukraine and to expect a few charges while I'm there. Don't want any embarrassing refusals you know.
2. Trim my toe nails and get a pair of black sneakers.
3. Don't forget the passport.
4 Pick up a fresh memory card for the camera.
That's the list so far. I'm not good at remembering things and lists are for wimps so it's hard for me to make one. Actually I'm just too stubborn telling myself "I won't forget that." And of course I immediately do....

So how about an update on the date situation? Hehe there isn't one but I thought it'd be fun to post some photos and sit-reps as to where I stand with the possibles. (NOTE) all the photos are from publicly viewable websites with no visible watermarks so I am not infringing privacy issues.

Photo one is of Natalya who lives in Donetsk and says "Ooh, it would be nice" to meet. No phone yet but I'm going to ask today.

Photo two is Alina but I think she's a scammer. Bat in the header, lost her phone, sent a photo with a diamond wedding ring clearly visible (never mentioned divorce, yes I have since asked) and devoted two paragraphs to sex in her second letter.

Photo three is Anya and so far she seems real but she is most likely too far away as she lives in Crimea. She likes camping, how cool is that?

Photo four is the lady who is too, TOO pretty and wants "financial Independence." Not ruling her out yet but I do need a definition for that one.

Now maybe she means ICQ but my guess is the email will be asking me to sign up on a webcam sex site. Lady three.....yeah oh yeah! I must say I am quite surprised that a man of such experience that you have going off on this trip under these circumstances.  Seems like something a total newbie would be doing as opposed to a man who has been married to a FSU woman and has been on the forum for quite a long time.

JR, When you get there, just go to one of the language schools and tell them you want to interview several women who can act as your interpretor.  That way you are assured of getting someone who speaks decent English and can have a "no expectations" free meeting over coffee with several young, educated RW  If you like what you see, you can either suggest a more personal meeting, or hire her as an interpretor who is obligated to be by your side at all times.  If she is not available, I'm sure she has some friends who are.  The problem is that most likely she will be in her 20's, in which case you should study the ongoing thread about age gaps,

Hell I probably won't be able to handle all the women Daveman's lady is going to try to set me up with! The primary lady has given me her home address and SMS'd me "i love you." It is just that there isn't a date and time for our meeting. I have asked but it takes her some time to get back to me as she uses an internet cafe. Since I won't sit on my hands and wait I am sending out feelers for "what ifs."

I agree.  This is a good attitude.

JR's approach is the opposite to that of a man so serious that he treats it as an intense business trip with no free time.  And plastered in his mind are his boss's instructions: "Don't come back unless you have found the 'one' ."
