Does your lady like to dance!
« on: November 02, 2009, 10:49:31 AM »
My Anna loves to dance, sometimes its been too long since we hit the floor. This last weekend it was off to the ski resort for a Halloween Party, lots of fun.  8)

Dave,

One of my Elvira's chief complaints about this area is that there are too few dance venues.

BTW - your Anna is quite lovely. You're a lucky old hippie.

Wish you both many more such days!  :)

Regarding very young kids may be it depends on a location and type of music?

You might want to pick up a Nintendo Wii and a copy of Dance Dance Revolution. My wife's friends go nuts playing it whenever they visit, I sit back and enjoy the scenery  ;D

I never met a RW who did not like dancing.  It must be in their blood.  I dance with her to prove that 1) WASPs have little rhythm and 2) old football injuries make it difficult to move fluidly.

My wife loves Latin dances, and made a local Latin dance team.  I must have a lot of confidence to let her hang with the Latin stud muffins.  I grew up in the South with R&B so our styles clash; yet, at a crowded club it does not matter.

BTW, Rivardco accused me of doing the Hokey Pokey at Simoni's wedding reception.  :D

BTW II,  good Halloween costume Dave.

Good idea, but part of the fun is people watching when we go dancing.  8)

My wife loves to dance.  She even used to teach dance in Ukraine.  I have never met a RW or AW who does not like dancing.

I hate dancing and prefer to smoke hookah pipe and bottle service.  But I will dance so she is happy.

Marina loves to dance.  She started at very early age and was professional ballroom dancer in regional competition.  I myself am awkward, so until she can teach me some more moves, I will do my 2 step and let her do the moves around me. She makes me feel like I am doing good but I know better.   The trick is to find a decent place to go dancing.

Gator, I only meant the Hokie Pokie comment in the nicest of ways :)  And, your wife is a lovely dancer.  And, you are very secure and wise to behave as you do with her.  I think it makes you look stronger and more to have such confidence.

Interestingly, I just asked a question on another thread that is more appropriately posted here.  I will give my frame of reference and repeat it here ...

I have lived much of the last two years in the Caribbean and South America.  Dance plays a VITAL role in the happiness of a woman in these places.  So, naturally, the weekends almost always include at least some dancing and rumba.  What is normal in South America would be considered a great excess in the US in this regard.

How does this differ in Russian and Moscow.  In Latin American, for a woman to dance and stay out late - appropriately chaperoned, of course - is not a sign of low morals and vices.  If fact, the "better" people can be found in these situations as they are the ones that can best afford it.

Thanks for letting me know!

Rivardco, Russia doesn't' have the judgemental problems some parts of the US have, most of the clubs will be full of ladies dancing, most times with each other. It's just fun! 8)

Yes. And she is frustrated that no one our age seems to dance in the US.

Parties to her should be full of friends, and dancing couples.

We had a nice living room in Texas, and we would throw a birthday party there every year... we would get lots of people, but very few dancers... The women were game, but their "bump on a log" American husbands refused to get on the dance floor.

We are still looking for a place to dance here that isn't frequented by teenagers...

Reminds me of the single days at some of the clubs. All the women were on the floor dancing and the men were like wall flowers around the edge of the floor. It was like shooting fish in a barrel. Find a hot women and go dance ....set for the night .....no competition.

Hi Mark, We have the same problem, we both love to dance. I've noticed that most of the guys just run for cover when the music starts.

We went to a Halloween Party as well.

As discussed before, note the lack of men dancing.  However, it did not slow the RW.

Then the police arrived.  Neighbors had complained because it was after 2 am and the music was loud.  Don't miss the size of the policeman; his head brushed the top of the 6' 8" door.  He did not alarm the RW; they rushed to get next to him.  He left with a smile still on his face.  All was well and the party continued.

Since marriage to a RW, I noticed that my weekend parties now last well into the morning.
