Just received word that there's a little roykirk on the way!  Hmm, first time dad at 40-ish.  I wonder if my world is going to change a bit or if it's going to stay the same?   ;)

There's some truth...  my first came along at 36, the second at 40. At a time when
my legs and back began to feel sore after some play, I found myself camping in the Appalachians,
horseback riding, soccer coaching...  the additional bundle of joy becomes your world, and it's a
prudent time to reaffirm the dynamic with your spouse, constantly. Best wishes!

Congratulations roykirk! You life will most certainly change and IMO for the better. Children have a tendency to change our lives by enriching. It's a long road with plenty of angst and worry but the joy more than offsets it. On a similar note yesterday I had the pleasure of seeing my first grand baby. Trust me, it only gets better  ;D
