Banner ads on RWD
« on: November 11, 2009, 03:58:48 PM »
Every time I see the russianlovematch banner I am filled with rage.  99.9% of members on this forum understand that the mentioned agency is a massive scam, yet, the banner ad appears.  To someone new to the forum it would appear as an endorsement.

I may be incorrect in my understanding of how google adsense works, but, it is my understanding that it is possible to control what ads appear on a site.  If that is in fact correct I implore the site admin to remove any ad reference to the aforementioned scam agency.

Eric,

The matter was settled long ago. Here is reference to the topic in which this issue was raised (by me) and closed -- http://www.russianwomendiscussion.com/index.php?topic=3365.0.

If you know of any situation in which the agency in question was found guilty of a crime or in violation of a law - feel free to bring them to my attention. Otherwise, this is a dead issue.

Dan,

There are so many scam reports about the agency in question that I find it hard to believe you would take that position.  How does that jive with the code of ethics of RWD?

Its your forum.. do what you want.. but you should understand that by allowing that specific site to advertise you undermine the credibility of the entire forum.  Note, I am not complaining about cuteonly or lovers planet or any of the other banner ads.. only RLM.

Eric,

You have a beef with RLM. Someone else may have a beef with HRB and make claims similar to yours. Others may have issues with Elena's Models and make claims similar to yours. And on and on it goes.

As I wrote upthread, and provided you the relevant reference - this is a dead issue for all the reasons mentioned earlier.

If that somehow causes YOU a crisis of confidence, candidly, that is YOUR problem.

Dan.. RLM and HRB are the same site.

There is no crisis of confidence on my part.  I simply see, and have personally experienced, a blatant disregard of the Agency Code of Ethics in regards to the site in question and in my opinion allowing that banner to appear on the forum indicates tacit approval of their policies and practices by you.

So.. would you care to comment on that specific question?  Are you by virtue of allowing them to advertise approving of how they run their site and the blatant scams they have perpetrated on so many men at this point?

Honor is honor Dan.. there isn't conditional or circumstantial honor.

Eric,

I know that RLM and HRB are one and the same - thanks.

No, I am not going to comment further. The issue is resolved. There is absolutely no ethics or "honor" issue here.

If you are not comfortable with the decision - leave. If you persist in raising unnecessary controversy over this topic, it will be (correctly) perceived as trollish and appropriate measures taken.

A very simple solution to this problem.

If you do not like HRB/RLM then keep clicking on their ad. Each click costs them money and at the same time Dan can get paid.

No better way to hit a scammer back then by hitting their pockets.  ;D

I thought members could block the visibility of these ads?

Anyway, I have a bnaner here for my business (LiveOnlineTranslation.com) and please feel welcome to click as many times as you like)))) It's not paid for on a "pay per click" basis.
