The  way you worded your question, I am afraid,  will be hard for you to  get the info you are looking for .

Different Russian ladies are looking for  men with different characteristics. The requirements depend on the lady's social, financial, educational, cultural backgrounds, age, her life situation and character  and personality traits.

In principle, the same as  American ladies.

If you were more specific about the above parameters, I (as well as others) could try and help you with the info you are looking for. Your question is way too general.

Sure it's easy to throw out short jabs to try to make someone look foolish.

Both of you well know that the OP meant 'what does the average Russian woman (who is looking for an American man) look for in an American man?'

what they look for is probably not that much different than any human being .
thier profiles arent lying,,read them?
or put yourselves in thier shoes , and ask yourself what you'd look for in a man you'd move across an ocean for?

They look for a man that is reasonably attractive to "them" ,(got to be as good as a monkey is an old joke or expression) 
that is interesting , kind , not STINGY (duh)
 and has enough financial resource to make a good father or husband..
(now this amount REALLY varies by individual obviously!
and is problematic because of the discrepency in salary vs disposable income between the two countries ,
and the misconceptions therein)

that said:
obviously she'd also like you to be tall dark and handsome, incredibly smart ,well spoken,  funny, great personality and have bill gates cash to burn as well..

That is true. Much as changed in the last 15 years when "America" was a big dream for FSU women. FSU women have also learned that many Western European countries are as advanced as U.S/Canada and often provide better benefits.......and closer to home.
The Russian and Ukrainian economies although not perfect, do not resemble third-world countries anymore. Compare Kyiv or Moscow today to what they looked like in 1992.Much more cosmopolitan.  And look at Poland and how far they have come along.
