Some Western men(WM) wait months or years before finding a woman he could live his life with in marraige. Most of us want a meaningful relationship but sometimes circumstances and life doesn't deliver. Besides emotional, we also have physical needs to take care of so my question to you is: IS IT OKAY FOR A WESTERN MAN TO BE SEXUALLY ACTIVE WHILE SEARCHING FOR A RW FOR MARRIAGE?

Please vote based on these conditions as a factor:

1) The WM is not a sex tourist and is sincerely hoping to find a wife to share the rest of his life with.

2) The WM can afford to travel to the FSU if he finds a woman that attracts him.

3) The WM has the ability to date local women in hopes in finding a wife and of course in dating there is a chance, most likely at a woman's choosing, that there will be physical intimacy involved with a frequency of anywhere from one incidence to on a regular basis with any number of ladies.

4) The WM will not use prostitutes to take care of any physical needs.

I am always curious why it is called 'physical needs.'  I know that is traditional, but isn't it really more about what is in a person's head, as in 'I really need a fock.'

I realize there is physical activity involved, but the neuro pathways that allow for erections, lubrication flow and orgasms run back and forth from the brain to the various body parts.

Maybe it should better be called taking care of 'nerve ending needs' or 'emotional needs.'

And now that I think of it, what do the questions posed have to say about masturbation?  It would certainly seem that taking care of 'physical needs' would include practicing masturbation.

So Mies and others, do you really think the man (and woman in the other thread) should also abstain from masturbation until after marriage?

I wouldn't say taking care of emotional needs is related taking care of physical needs. I think most people agree that physical intimacy is a whole lot better when a emotion such love is involved with your partner. Relationships full of love is better than loveless relationships in more ways than just physical. For some people, like Tiger Woods, a variety of partners may be more important than love to take care of his physical needs.

This is easy charge to make of anybody about any subject.  Many here more frequently originate and respond to certain topics.  I don't think it is fair to throw out sensational words like obsessed or fixated at someone just because they happen to be interested in something that you are not interested in.

And  then to go a step further and even mention the words 'sexual predator', that is simply going beyond fair play.

We already have several posters who like to throw the concept of 'sex tourist' at those they do not like.  Sexual predator is even a worse concept to toss around cavalierly.

Mies, based on your postings you seem like an emotionally and mentally healthy lady and I assume you are in a happy marriage but if people have your beliefs and get married before physical intimacy, they may be terribly disappointed if one partner wants intimacy every day and the other partner wants intimacy once every two weeks.

Do you believe the man sets the tone in marriage for physical intimacy and his wife will submit to his desires and happily accept the fact he may want her multiple times a day or just once a month depending on his sex drive? Usually when two people have different sex drives, something has to give and someone is not going to be happy.

to answer the rest of your post - i think this topic is a bit too complicated. Just a few questions to think of:
* what if people are mutually in love but their sexual needs aren't compatible? should they choose love or sex? If love is so important as you say - why giving so much weight to sex?
* how do you define love? What is it exactly?
* what if one person is in love and the other isn't? Should love be mutual?
* should love be immediate or it can grow?
* If it can grow - can the relationship that started only as "physical needs satisfaction" grew into more fulfilling (as per your statement) loving relationship?

please feel free to add more rhetoric questions. I'm sure there are many of them.

Boaterguy, I got nearly 3000 posts at this forum. There's a reason the regulars don't accuse me of always talking about sex.

My other poll does have an option to edit votes. Maybe I didn't make this one as intended. I can't change the fact. Maybe a moderator can add the option for people to change their vote? For now vote accurately and remember that one male vote to abstain from from sex until marriage is actually a female vote.
