Somebody put me on ignore today.

I was editing my profile and no one had me on ignore and now I am ignored by 1 member. My feelings are hurt and I'll have trouble sleeping because of this.

In contrast, I wish a few people would put me on their ignore list.   
Some have been following  me around so closely from thread to thread it gives me the creepy feeling they have a homosexual attraction for me.

I am trying to say that no matter what you say or how much you try to be nice, some people will be irritated with your words. The best way to stay off the ignor list is to be a lurker .

  So shoot it to me straight. What can I do to make everyone like me here? This ignore thing has just thrown me for a loop. I'm sorta beside myself now. I just dont know if I'm going to be able to stand the thought of  some of these people here not adhering to my advices.

Been ignored by one is a disaster and I am sure your e-feelings are hurt and tonight you will not be able to eat your dinner!  

I don't believe in putting anybody on the ignore list.

If I don't like somebody or what he writes, I don't bother to post a reply and just ignore him/her.

For sure there are some rude, nasty, arrogant know all and irritating people around, on this and other similar boards, getting their rocks off, venting their frustrations for their own inequities and character failures by posting insults and attacks on other members. I have learned, long time ago that the best medicine for them, is to completely ignore them and not post any replies!

Thanks Wiz, hope your doing well.  I think being on an ignore lists should be construed as somewhat of an insult. I think it means no one thinks you have anything to lend to the process. It means no one thinks your funny. It means you should probably read more and post less. It means your valued opinion is probably not so valued after all. I guess it could mean a lot of things but those are just a few that pop in my mind. It's early so there might be more later. I am going to get those pictures posted soon. I'm trying to update my facebook so all of my former exchange students can watch the baby grow. We have a boy that is coming in 2 weeks as well as our G3. I swear I think about you everytime I see Anthony Bourdain.

Let me clarify. I probably shouldnt say that about reading more and posting less. I should also consider whom is doing the ignoring. There are a few here that know all the answers to all the questions and I would have no problem being ignored by them. As a matter of fact I would almost consider it an honor. There are a couple of women here that are more than welcome to put me on their ignore lists while there are a few here ,Mrs Ash,Tamara and Lily for example that it would hurt my feelings because they are very very intelligent and just so damned good looking.

Don't take it personally because somebody put you on ignore.  I recently put someone on ignore because he/she had nothing but contemptuous insults in response to my posts, and I got tired of reading them.

That was my reason.  Obviously, this person thinks that I am wrong for doing so and that what he/she did was perfectly fine.

My point is that you can't please all of the people all of the time. so please don't worry about this person who ignored you.  One person here with a huge ignore count is one of my closest friends here.

I know man but it just hurts damnit. Is Helen on this board? That battle axe hated me and the feelings were mutual. There were a few women on the other board whose sole purpose in life was to ridicule this process , comment on every post and always had to have the last word. Dan does a good job of weeding most of those types out here although there are a few here with a waaaay too high post count. There are also a few here that do not post enough. You guys know who they are.

Many people told you above not to be so sensitive, and I think you are not the type to shy off any vigorous exchanges. I always enjoyed reading your views, even if I did not agreed with some of them.

Yes I am doing well and I am much happier person now than I was 2+ years back....... and everything is working according to plan, so far!

Of course, like you, I have a lot of respect for Ash and also Lily whom I met personally and I can say who ever manage to catch her will be a very lucky man. As everybody knows she is extremely well educated and also I can add a very attractive and charming lady and was priviledge for me meeting her. Pitty I was too young .......error....old   .....for her and then engaged to my now wife, otherwise I would have tried on her my ample Greek charm!  

Just for your info... Helen is not posting around anymore, ...... I think she aqcuired a Dog, sometime ago which keeps her very busy............LOL

Anyway must thank you for all the good advise you gave me in the past!

PS: I do post when I find something interesting and don't forget normally, people like you and me, when we find happines and get married fade away as we prefer to spent more time with family than roaming around the board.
I am retired so I have more free time........ and I can't understand how some people here are always ON LINE, whenever I visit!

Trust me big dog, it dont bother me in the slightest. I think it's pretty funny that you would think that it did. That is pretty funny what you said though about people that I would never want to meet. This is so true but there are a few here that I would love to sit down with and tell and compare stories over a couple of beers. Of course it would have to be a nice microbrew preferably one of the Dogfish Head brands.
