Hello everyone,
I am new to this forum. Matter of fact I had just registered with your sight earlier today. With all of the whoopa on traveling within the Ukraine or in Russia I actually am scared to go back to the Ukraine now. My last visit to Kiev was in sept. of 06 and I have planes on going to the Ukraine to meet with a gal this year. Now I think I am going to scratch this visit. By no means get me wrong I’m no wuss by any means. But, knowing me and my luck I perhaps will be arrested and will never return to America. I live in Arizona and what is the most that could happen by me? Some illegal jumping over the border for a better life and camping out in my back yard over night. I have a very large dog that can tend to that for me. But this is starting to sound pretty scary to even go to any FSU countries. I have a lot to think about.

I am not sure what you have been reading or what you were taking or drinking when you were reading it but I don't think you have a thing to worry about.

Maybe Jack's "aggressive" posts in the other thread scared him off. If you are scared of Jack you probably have no business considering a FSUW. Just my opinion and I have been known to be a @sshole so take it as you will.

Most of us consider Ken to be the nicest guy on RWD and also one of the wisest.   I have to agree with him.  If you are afraid to go to Ukraine the thought of having a RW for a wife should have you p1ssing yourself.   (Once in a while someone is fooled into thinking I am a nice guy too)

Very strange the words of original poster.

I have been to several cities in Russia and Ukraine and have never once been asked anything by any police person.  Most of the time I was with a local woman, but I walked many times by myself also.

Guess I just look too harmless.  And I very rarely even saw a police person.  I have never pulled my passport out at all except at airport.

Yes, I agree to be careful and think ahead . . . . but based on my own opposite experiences, I can't help but believe that most of these horror stories are fictional or relate to drunken guys who are making a scene.
I am a sex tourist who is driven by the hunt with no emotion or empathy and suffer from Satyriasis, Don Juan Syndrome and Madonna-Whore complex (but on alternating days) with confidence issues and many other issues. I suffer loneliness with no family, friends or money.  I have ED and orgasm problems

Pike,

I agree with you...  The only person I heard of who had problems with the police was a guy that was taking a hooker back to his apartment late at night.  Of course I only heard the full story when a friend of his turned up at O'Briens and asked him some embarrassing questions!

I simply can't imagine having MAJOR problems in Kiev if you're sensible.

I had one guy ask me for money for his mother in hospital while I was waiting on Independence Square, but I knew it was a scam as soon as he opened his mouth and started talking about God and love for the human race.

I was out at clubs late at night (2am or 3am.. OK a little later one night) and had no problems getting a taxi or walking home.  I admit that was higher risk than being tucked up in bed at 6pm everynight but we're their for the experience huh?

New travellers should be careful but not paranoid.  Kiev is safe... unless you act foolishly!

To those of you who are saying that you never had a problem, you are probably like me - lily white.   I have made over a dozen trips to Russia and Ukraine, and have never had problems with the police.  Casanova evidently is not white, which is the reason for his thread.

Casanova, who was a poster named anono, was kicked off this forum and others multiple times. Good guess Mir.

If Casanova is anono, that is a horse of a different color.

I assume you are correct Billy Budd as you always are.

Casanova-Anono, why would you waste your time posting contrived horse$hit?  Don't you have something better to do, such as plan another of your sex tours.

Yes once again the way he posted showed what he was.
Like the incident about the beautiful girl he used to see while his girlfirend was away working as a ? professional what. The point is if you want to tell us about racism there is no reason to first gloat how you were banging a beautiful young women behind your girlfriends back etc.

I am not lily white and I have never had any problems in several trips to Ukraine.

Casanova last posted in January 2006 and was forced out of here and the other board about the same time.  Gator, watch what you say to anono, he'll send you a profanity laced PM and threaten to sue you since he has the nation's best libel attorney working for him and his attorney is in the guiness book of world records for the largest libel verdict. At least that is what he told me when he didn't like something I wrote.

I find it hard to believe that Casanova is actually anono.   IIRC, anono never used a Capital letter in any of his posts, this guy's writing style is totally different.  If it is anono, he completely fooled me.

Yeah jb.. IIRC complex and compound sentences were not his forte.

The other thing that bothered me was that I don't think anono ever made 3 consecutive posts without mentioning his sky diving adventures, Casanova never mentioned it once.  I don't think anono could do that.  ??? ???

Yes, also no mention of j having a fat A$$ yet.   Wonder if anono ever married J.  I would be amazed if he did.

The best way to test if it's Anono I think woukd be m post with statement " I like kotlety more than gamburgers"

If there wold be no reaction from Casanova then it's not Anono  ::)

Well, I could be wrong, I checked out an old PM to me from a mod from another forum and he said, after putting the pieces together, casanova could be an old acquaintance of anono now turned enemy. Some of their stories are based on the same path travelled. Casanova raised red flags on a few forums for a while and got banned. If he is someone else, birds of a feather can't stay out of trouble and get banned together.

Elen,

My wife recently made kotlety for me and guess what? It tasted EXACTLY like American hamburgers, minus the traditional bun and dressing  ;D

As for Casanova being anono... Anono could be brash, rude, and condescending, but he had a lot of experience and I was sorry to see him leave RWD. Funny enough, I spoke to him several times on the phone while I was in Ukraine, and I found him very kind, soft-spoken, and with a self-deprecating sense of humor that was completely opposite of how he was portrayed here.

Casanova, on the other hand, was rude without any redeeming qualities.

Just my 2 bits...
