Bikini Photos

Hey all. A spin off in another thread got me to thinking. I married a woman (now ex)who would have never dreamed of sending me a photo of herself in a bikini, (This was pre-internet.) And I know if she were on a site now that she would not post one.

This question has me thinking. The few women I have met did not have bikini photos in their profiles. But the one I am planning a visit to does. They are simple photos of her at the beach or at the pool, not staged or provocative. I have to say that I hadn't given it much thought until it came up in another thread. It doesn't bother me. I have to admit I kinda like it. Her Profile has a mixture of Studio and everyday photos. It is even possible she has photoshopped a mole from her face. I'm not an expert, I can't really be certain and I don't care. Her primary photo is a head shot and it made me read her profile. Her profile made me send her a personalized letter (not many women get that from me for the first contact attempt.)

The second part of this question is for the ladies (unless you're a cross dresser or just confused)))

If I was still in the game, knowing what I think and I want to stress (think)I know what I know now, it probably wouldnt bother me and I'd continue with process. My wife wouldve never sent me these photos but I know some agencies like to put it all out there. I didnt meet my wife in an agency but there is certainly nothing wrong with that.

I think there is nothing wrong with a nice ( decent vs indecent) photo of a woman in a bathing suit. And most are two piece these days. I guess it would depend on the size of the suit, like a g-string, and stretching out on the beach or just standing next to an umbrella. I live on the beach and have sent women photos of me, in a bathing suit, sitting in a chair next to the water. Thats part of my lifestyle.

Yeah totally, I digg where viking went with that and then what AJ added. If I still lived in California I would probably have more pictures of myself surfing and such. So if that's what the lady is into and you digg water sports as well... Then I think it only matters what type of bikini shots they are.

There was such a topic (about biki photos and seriousness of girls) several years ago here You see, it's not about if a girl is serious or not The problem is that in all the books about how to marry a foreigner, and in all tips sections of dating sites there are similar tips: take a photo in a bikini!
For example, a passage from a very famous internet book "How to marry a foreigner" (which is advised by many dating sites):

That's why you can see so many bikini photos on the dating sites, and not because some girls are serious, and some are not

Nat: I agree with you about bikini photos and seriousness. The two don't necessarily go hand in hand. But I also agree that those photos will get the most attention. I recently spoke with a lady from Moscow who was checking out the comptetition and she was unhappy about all the skin women were showing, she said she couldn't compete with that.
My biggest attention getter is a good headshot. I want to see what you'll look like when we step out. I'm sure women want to see freshly shaven man with neat hair and maybe wearing a suit. Hehe, I guess that means my avatar photo sucks LOL!

I liked to see a few pics in a profile to get some sense of her personality, if at all possible.  There can be some sense of the attitude beneath the surface.  

If I found her attractive, but there was no bikini pic, it didn't really matter.  
If there was, and it looks like a casual picture from a beach holiday, I can certainly appreciate it, but it doesn't change anything.  
If it's all bikini shots, or if there was just some other factor (too staged or provocative, or something about her facial expression, maybe) that suggested she was not serious, I moved on.

I'm all for Bikini photos when searching for a wife. How else can a woman reveal her inner self? The skimpier the suit, the more revealing she becomes. The ol' adage 'less is more' applies deliciously.

G-strings definitely sheds light on her character and cuts out all the lace and frills into her innner being. Being topless hopefully reveals more than mere bumps that are close to her heart.

One must always strive to get to the heart of the matter. Always.

I enjoy confident women.  So confident about themselves that they feel no need to show flesh to attract the attention of the type of man they want. 

I am turned on more by a shapely woman in loosely fitting clothing made of fine material than if she were in a bikini (especially if she whispered she wasn't wearing panties  ).  In fact, I would have trouble restraining myself. 

Some bikini photos are tasteful, especially if they show a playful mood.  I have seen photos of fully clothed women that were too much (e. g., sitting in a chair with knees spread wide apart).

And each of us knows when we comfortable enough with a person to share "special" pictures.  In a profile, I prefer "bikini" shots to be fun and playful, if they are included at all.  It is a bit too early to use the "special" ones.

Given that the number of photos to illustrate a profile is limited, every picture in profile should be informative. It has to carry a message that a woman wants to communicate.

Bikini and swimmsuits photos talk about how this woman is built, and what is the condition of her body and skin. Somewhere in the forum I already wrote about it. Provokative poses in bikini, however, are a completely different thing, and IMO should be avoided.

Aha, so she feels that she cannot stand a competition because her body might be in somewhat less than good condition? Well, then she might consider improving her body wherever possible. Besides a first class inside qualities and good character of a woman, men want a good body, why should not we strive to give them our best?

I like it.  It shows the person inside, the look on the face, the inner spirit and joy for life.  I think being natural is wonderful.  Being provocative shows something too.  I prefer natural.  Maybe it just seems less threatening in some ways.
