Whether intentionally or not, I think it mocks any man who is actively seeking a FSU woman living abroad, and the whole notion of this type of search, which is a big part of this board.

 Mocks any man searching? Wow thats pretty strong. I think it pokes fun of our stereotypes and fears. Kind of like satire. If you know what that is by chance.
Is this place gotten so serious and politically correct you can only use a certain type of humor. Maybe stupid jokes would be better. Something you dont have to think about when you laugh and god forbid it doesnt offend the politically correct intellectuals here.

Satire is a far stronger word than "mocking".  Satire, as a literary genre, ridicules certain aspects of human behaviour in order to change those behaviours.  I doubt that was your intent.

Nobody posted only one type of  "humour" is acceptable.  Nor is this a site replete with political correctness.

You put it out there, I gave you my opinion (and no one else's).  There is no need to be offended.

I thought satire was supposed to be funny and poke fun of certain beliefs in a light hearted way.

Once again I'd like to echo my previous sentiments that Facetrock should receive a 15 minute ban. He intentionally duped people on this board and I am equally offended. There is no place for this type of misleading,deceitful and unfounded post. This board has taken a black eye the past few days with this thread. It's going to take time, a long time before the credibility of this forum can be trusted. I would like to  think and hope in the very near future that Mr Facetruck comes to understand that with a post like this that there are consequences and repercussions. The mere thought of some guy writing to some girl with the hopes,dreams and aspirations of bedding down her mother is so beyond the normal everyday realm of thinking that it's hard for me to fathom. May God have mercy on his soul.

Hi there. I've been lurking although not reading as much here as I used to. I guess I managed to ignore myself and posted regardless. Silly me.

And of course you're right, I wasn't giving anyone any advice. I just have to wonder at the sort of people that feel the need to lie on an internet forum though. Makes me wonder what sort of lies they live in the real world. A little bizarre and somewhat sad really.

Oh and facetrock, you deliberately tried to mislead people here. There doesn't seem to be anything other than malicious intent in that. Perhaps you get your jollies by watching people fall hook, line and sinker? I can't really see how it helps anyone in any way, except give a few people that were in on the "joke" a cheap laugh at the expense of others. I'm a little too indifferent to be insulted but I can imagine that you managed to offend quite a few members by the stunt. I guess you don't care about that though, right?

I agree, I think the original post contained a lot of the truth. After reading some of the responses and questions he started to have doubts about what he posted. He tried to spin it as a white lie for chits and giggles which did not go over as well as intended. Now he is in a jam as to which story to tell.
