Are You Compatible with Russian Women?

I did not want to derail that thread, and this isn't really about whether Alex is personally compatible with Russian women or not, but it got me thinking -- What makes one compatible or incompatible with Russian women?

I am sure the answers are here on this board a thousand times over in one way or another, but I was wondering if some of those with more experience might put their two cents in on the question.

In order to relieve everyone of need to preface all statements with "individuals are individuals" or the like, let's say that's a given so we don't have to go down that road (or turn the entire thread into a thesis on the idea that individuals are individuals).

I have lived in a number of different cultures, and so I know that different cultures do indeed instill a certain set of beliefs and conditioned behaviors in their inhabitants.  Individuals within the culture react differently to those "programs" (lets call them) because, well, individuals are individuals  ... but how about some generalizations? How about some stereotypes? How about some easy answers for once? 

p.s. If Alex or RussianWind read this, it would be interesting to hear you take on question. Both of you seemed to know what was being referenced, but I am not sure what you were specifically talking about.

Just make sure your goals are aligned, and also make sure the two of you resolve conflicts in a similar manner.

I say that because conflicts are inevitable just as with AW.  RW are different.  Further, nobody is perfect.  Some accommodations are necessary.  Will both of you negotiate and accept the accommodations in a supportive manner?

Errr.. you're asking me if I'm compatible with WHICH RW?

My wife and I are highly compatible...  that's why we married...  but there have been some in here (for instance) that would cause me to consider pills!   

There's no difinitive answer to the question but I will say this... If you are incompatible with a RW you should expect her to let you know pretty promptly.

Great thread. Thank you for starting it. I am sure many men would prefer to not spend the time, money and emotional expense if they are able to determine that this is not the route for them.
There are many questions men have about this endeavor and to be honest some of them are much more touchy than what I have brought up. Some questions I will obviously need to look for the answers elsewhere or ask members privately.

Kuna sums it up best I think. It really comes down to the individuals. In my short search I have come across many, many different personalities in RW. Sure, there are some cultural differences but people are people in the end and the world is fast evolving due to the access to information. Younger RW are very similar to their western counterparts. You would be quite surprised. I have met many great RW and there is one that I click with perfectly. Yes, we have differences, but we have more in common with each other in how we feel about certain things than any other woman I have ever met. I owe it to her and myself to at least visit and pursue it.
 
PS - no idea what Russian Wind was talking about to be honest. It is apparent that we will not be getting married anytime soon. Maybe she could PM me the reason she said that. I would be interested as I value her opinion as a RW and could offer some constructive criticism for her and her friends who are interested in western men.

I am not an expat, but probably spent close to 3 years in total living in the FSU over the last 15 years.
