How not to get scammed
« on: February 07, 2010, 03:07:32 PM »
I must say I have only been reading about woemen from the FSU or internet dating in general and I have ony one question. Are you people retarded? I mean who sends money to anyone they dont know? you dont need 10 Commandments you only need "one"(1)

DON'T SEND MONEY TO ANY WOMAN!
Period end of story etc.... No matter how much she begs, pleads, promises or sends you nude pics.  If she ask for money its a scam and if you still send it you are a moron and desrve to lose everything.
Ok 1 other commandment- dont let the little head think for the big head is a good one.

I hope that was plain & simple enough.

sorry but after reading on the net so many stories of how people only send this amout or that amout, I have to say I have lost faith in the "intellegence" of my fellow americans.

Sometimes that one little drop of water falls, the dam bursts and the torrent rages down the canyon until spent.
Pick and choose carefully among the advice offered and consider the source carefully. PM, Skype or email if you care to chat or discuss

The best scams are the long-term ones.
Some even last 50 years, until the mark dies.  :P

Reading a dozen scam threads on RWD doesn't make you an expert either. It just makes you more informed. There are many scammers that are not as nearly as obvious as the 3 you referenced.

Well, no different than the guy who gets in his car and drives home drunk, yet is well educated about the possible outcome of his actions to know better.

He's right.. .it's undeniable. DOn't want to get scammed???  Don't send money!

Sure he's not winning many friends with a blunt post like that but if it gets through to one person it's a good post.

Here is one better idea,,,

Afraid of being scammed?   ...   Don't go anywhere or do anything!!

The most important thing that can help a person be successful in anything is the way they were brought up and the amount of common sense they were gifted with.

A durak with a rule book is still a durak!

(just trying to stay in the spirit of the OP) 8)

Anyone in the World can be scammed.  No one is prepared to not be scammed.

But agree with the OP - never send money to someone you have not met in person is a good start.
