There is much blabbering and silly remarks about this issue in another thread.

As usual, some want to twist a few words here and there to attempt to deflect from the logical to some absurd situation.

So, OK, lets lay this out in more simple terms.

First, we omit (for this thread) consideration of weight gains from pregnancy and other medical conditions that are beyond the control of the person.

Second, for any given man (or woman) with respect to their woman (or man), there is some weight gain (in pounds or kilos) that will cause the first party to become displeased with the weight gain of the second party.

Third, for any given man (or woman) with respect to their woman (or man), there is some weight gain (in pounds or kilos) that will cause the first party to be no longer able to love the second party.

Surely no sane, unlying person can dispute these two statements.  The only variation from person to person is the amount of weight gain that causes the displeasure and the end of loving.

Albert, don't give up your day job, you'd make a terrible lawyer...:D

Besides,  "unlying" is not a word to my knowledge. A person can  either be truthful, or a liar, but "unlying???  Give me a break, I  thought we were smarter than that.

By my own personal standards, I figure that after 40, my Mom was probably about 25-30 lbs overweight. She and my very sane and "unlying" father remained blissfully married
until the day he passed away. Daily I see (and know) countless couples who defy this logic - for some, weight gain is not an issue. I understand that for others, it's of paramount importance: God help the man (or woman) who has the affair with Sara Lee.

I enjoy and love my wife with her cute figure - twelve years after having given birth she was 110 lbs at 5'2", but there's so much more than that for me to love - if one must ask "Well, what would  those qualiies be?" then I would have to say a Clue Bat of another species would need a good dusting off and a swing; conversely, if one argues that those other qualities can be found on a trim vixen-goddess, and well, if his (or her) tolerance
is low enough, then maybe (s)he'll be forced to suscribe to an endless procession of fresh flesh. Of course, one could always check out the parents to glimpse the future reality. Time and gravity just suck, huh?

May I ask you, what is your weight limit on that one? At what weight you won't  love your wife any longer?

I'm a face man so I wouldn't care if my future wife put on 50 lbs or so especially if it was a proportioned weight gain. A large hourglass figure isn't so bad in fact it can be rather nice.

I think it is rather immature to reject a wife if she gains some weight. I suspect guys who do are like guys that need to marry very young women. They have sexual arousal problems.

I have to say if she was about 5'4 and got up to 350 pounds I would not find her very sexually exciting but that does not mean I would leave her either.

I am sorry to be so critical, but if this statement were true, I would wonder whether there was any true love in the first place.

I think there is true love.   I think what a lot of people mistake for true love is really lust and sexual desire, or in the case of FSU women desire for a better life and more devoted husband.     I have seen a lot of people who showed true love,  perhaps sitting by a sick mates bedside for decades as they were in a vegetative state.   Most people are too weak to do that.

I have seen many overweight women who look good because they are solid.

If it were all loose flesh, she could still exercise to make it solid.

It all boils down to tolerance and I don't see Albert as being a very tolerant person.

Albert, what if she were 50 pounds overweight but loved to have sex 8 times a day?

I think you could deal with that.

I am sure Albert would love that even with the extra weight, as long as he was allowed to have a few gals on the side for the sex he requires that goes over the 8 times a day.
