I did a search but all the info was over 3 years old.  Anyone been to this city with the last few years.I am visiting a lady from here and want to have a back up plan in case things dont work out. Can you please recomend appartments, guides, and good agency's to visit.

This will be my first trip to a foren country. So I will probably use a guide like pavel to pick me up from the airport and hire a phone etc. Then I will have him drop me at the train station. Then I think it would be a good idea to have a guide meet me at the station in Vinnitsa, take me to apartment, and give me a brief tour of the place. Is this a sound plan?

The lady volenteered to meet me in Kiev but Id like to see where she is from and as I am from a small city in Australia I am trying to stay away from larger citys for my search. So if things dont work out with her Is this a good city to search the agency's? Are there other cities nearby that would be better?

Why don't you have her meet you at the airport and ride the train back to her city? It would give you even more time together.

Good point that would be nice. I was thinking that. But  I don't want to relly solely on someone I have not met in person yet to meet me for the first time in a foreign country. while very likely  will be shitting myself. May not be a good first impression! lol
But yes it is an option and more time spent with her would be good.

munna, would need to know a little more about the length of your stay in order to
offer more definite advice.

First I would not recommend having her to meet you at the airport. You have one chance to make a good first impression.  Coming from Australia it will be a day, day and a half, since you were able to shower, change of clothes and probably some decent sleep.  I would recommend have an English speaking driver to greet you at Borispol and drive you to one of the center hotels, at least for the first night.  Rest, shower, shave, change of clothes, now you are ready to meet your lady and not have to worry about setting things up in your flat.

I think you need to be located in the center of the center. Here is constant life everyday. Here you will be able to see many ladies just out walking, you will be close to all your meeting places if you are going to meet many ladies.

Now their are several determining factors here based on how many days you are staying, how many ladies you are seeing. You may want to get yourself a nice flat. The next day go and look at the flats you can get.  Have at least a couple you can choose from, not a hard task.  Look at these flats the next day. Pick the flat of your liking.  You should try to get a flat in the center of the center, again not so hard to do in Vinnitsa.   If you rely on any one lady to get you a flat she may try to get you a flat close to her's, most women you are coming to see will NOT want your flat in the very center for the same reason I want your flat to be in the center.   And if you are meeting several ladies (good for you) then you need the independence from any one woman who may have helped with your flat.  I think you need to get your own flat without the help of one of the local ladies.  Not so much with Vinnitsa ladies today but many Kiev ladies will agree to meet many foreign men with no other reason than hoping she can get the man into a flat that she knows about, extra income for her.  And I do know for 100% sure this is an on going thing, it happens everyday. Get your own flat, or hotel room.

If you are from a small town then yes, you need to not be spending to much time in Kiev and do make Vinnitsa the thrust of your visit, however you might want to allow for a day or two in Kiev. Oh, what an experience.   Again depending on the number of day's your visit it, allow the last two days at least, maybe three, to be in Kiev. You have to depart from Kiev anyway, you arrive into Kiev, enjoy your time in Kiev.   For sure get a flat in the center of the center on or near Khyershatyk or Independence Square.  If one fine lady arose above the rest from the ladies in Vinnitsa, ask her if she would like to spend the last few days with you in Kiev before you leave.

Vinnitsa is only about a  2.5 hour drive from Kiev.   Today Vinnitsa is still a pretty good area for looking for a Russian bride. I have already begun to see the same signs I used to see from Tver, more and more Vinnitsa ladies are going, coming, back and forth to Kiev.  I expect within 10 years Vinnitsa will be somewhat of a distant suburb to Kiev as Tver as become to Moscow.

Jack knows what he's talking about.  I just have to second the notion of spending some time in Kiev, especially if you've not been there before.

I did a trip to Vinnitsa somewhere around 3-4 years ago and used an local agency owned by a husband and wife Tatiana and Vladimir. Of all the agencies I delt with in my travels (I'm not much of an agency supporter) they were the most above board I came accross. The name is Agency Exclusive (http://www.agency-exclusive.com/index.php). They will be able to help with a flat and transportation. I used their inturpreter to meet with girls from other agencies and generally most agencies won't do that for you. As you will likely find the more "honest" the agency the fewer glamor girls they will have on their site although I did meet a few very attractive ones. Overall I wasn't impressed with the city in general. I did come accross a couple of real scam agencies. PM me if you want the details. Good luck and I agree with Jack; if you have the time spend a couple of days in Kiev it's still a little cold to really appreciate the place but still worth while

Jack that post is extreemly helpful and I will follow this advice. I have a few  months until I make the trip but I like to get organised early. Its likely that I will spend at least 2 weeks in the Ukraine.

I explained to the lady that I will be visiting others as there is no gaurantee our meeting will go to plan. She understood completely but just said please meet me first:) She also speaks Fluent english, I am not sure if I would have her meet me at the train station or set up indipendently then meet. Either way I will certainly get an appartment in the centre of town.

So now I think I need to find some more agency's.

Yes Jack gives you a good advice.
Vinnitsa is not so far from Kiev. No more than 3 hours of tren, and the tren is really comfortable.
Build your date's schedule with a lot of woman in Kiev. And book yourself your flat. It's easy in Kiev to do. Keep away from the very expensive one. 75$ is already a good price. Girls sometimes like rent a flat for you, but not always because they like you...
A simple question : what's the age and the first name of the person you schedule to meet ? (i ask you for scam reason and will explain you later if she's who i think about)
You can call this guy as taxi to pick up you at Borispol. His name is Vladimir and his mobile is 80638599635, his english is fair but it's enough. I usually pay him 240 grivnas to go to Kiev center. I think he can help you for a lot of things (taxi, tourism, rental, asks him).
