Always be a first-rate version of yourself, instead of a second-rate version of somebody else :)

There is a positive in anything. You single-handed tripled someone's income and provided evidence for American presence in some future military conflict.  :P
No it is not a dog. Its really how I look.  ;)

I'm not sure what to ask you about first, the family visits to the few you wrote or about how you got yourself out of the jam of losing your passport, money, etc.
That could be a learning experience for us all. So, what did you do?

Now I think the WJMTFBLTMMTSVO is far better than the WMVM or WOVO or WFVF.

Opinions please.

Oh yes just in case you were wondering ;)

WJMTFBLTMMTSVO = Write Just More Than Few But Less Than Many More Than Several Visit One

 ;D :P
Its an opinion, don't get too crazy if you disagree :)

Some info, if you have a lost passport you can apply for an emergency passport at the US Embassy  moscow.usembassy.gov/passports.html , this passport is valid for only three months. You must apply for the emergency passport in person at the embassy.A lost passport must be reported to 1-877-487-2778. When I first traveled to Russia, the advice I received, was to make a copy of your passport and keep it in a different location. Also have another type of government identification. With all the security at customs, a passport is required to enter the US.

Replacing the lost US passport is a piece of cake compared to getting the required exit visa to leave Russia.

Just look at the page under passport services at moscow.usembassy   " A Russian visa is only valid for the passport in which it is placed. If the passport is cancelled, lost or no longer valid, the visa also looses its validity."  :'(  Could increase your stay by a few weeks!
