What are you looking for in a women from FSU?

Hi I am new here and I have a question for gentlemen What are you looking for in women from FSU? Why do you think they are different? What your opinion based on? From my life experience I can see that the main reason for which American men seeking to merry women from FSU - they think that Russian (FSU) women are submissive. But we are not - we are survivors and fighters - other way we wouldn't be able to survive in FSU. We taught by our parents and by life to be strong and independent, be captain of our own lives. So share, please, your thoughts - why women from FSU?

I simply expanded my pool of eligible women as I was in Russia. There were many more eligible women that I could date in Russia than in my city, and out of those eligible women I happened to find my wife. Wasn't looking for a "submissive" woman and my wife certainly isn't.

 Hi Innaakrug, Welcome to the board, why look for a woman from FSU, many reasons, never had a problem with dating AW, but over the years, I got tired of all the games   (of course this is only my experiences). Several of my friends were married to RW and they were very happy, so I decided at the very least it would be a interesting vacation. And after five years of marriage to a very beautiful and strong RW, I agree you ladies are not "submissive"    Having a submissive wife, was never on my list.

Submissive ? Fsu are proud or very proud. I cannot be proud of my wife if she's like a patatoe saying not no not yes.
1/ in average fsu are really more cute
2/ a gap in age is more often possible
3/ but the most important is here : woman needs to be treated like princess. Yes true: east or west. But in western countries men are not treat like prince. Fsu do this job. Men needs respect and now more and more we are feeling a indirect and hidden world of violence aimed against men. I begin to be tired of this wich is a mismatching machine between men and women. It generates a lot of fear and pain.

I had no such impressions (regarding FSU/CIS women being submissive), and, having a maternal ancestry from the Volga River region, was interested in the culture. I found the women to be, predominantly, exactly as you described, but yet still very feminine in appearance and demeanor. For myself, a very attractive combination. I also found the men I came to know (Ukrainian men) to be, in private, far more open and emotional than my male American friends. Again, a cultural compatibility. Absent a few obvious gold-diggers and criminals, overall, my impressions from my trips were positive.

Perhaps that has changed in the 13 years since I first visited, but I doubt it. We'll see

IMO there are a wide array of reasons why western men go to the FSU. They could be in one of three categories and then a category for "all others".

Probably the most common is that they can get a much younger, more attractive woman than they are able to get back home. These desire the younger tight bodies than those of their own age/eligibility.

Then there are those that are fed up with emasculation of the western male. This type also complains of the rituals and games played by western women.

A third type have other reasons. They are social leppers and or just unattractive themselves and unable to date or bed local women. FSU women respond to these where local women will not.

As you may can tell, submissive women do not seem to be a factor among these probably most common reasons.

It is also Men who are unlucky dating at home. This is either lack of confidence, being a jerk, etc....
Agencies have built a false dream to the middle aged AM. That dream is that anyone carrying a blue passport can have pretty much any lady in the FSU they desire no matter what they look like or how much money they have.
That dream has falling hook line and sinker into AM minds.

  I like the women because they are strong and I also like the way they usually take care of themselves. I suppose you can find that type of woman anywhere but it seems many of these FSU women are open to leave the country they now live in and that makes things easier to understand how they live.

At the risk of offending the PETA folks, I must say I loved experiencing Russian/Ukrainian winters and all the lovely ladies in their beautiful fur coats. The doctor I dated, who had come from Siberia, had an extensive collection. I also marveled at how they could navigate the snow and ice in their high heeled boots. All in all, just plain sexy.

I was not set on one country but I did want a woman who was not from the USA as I move around a lot for work and that was an issue with my ex wife.  She would not live in Europe, Asia, and South America.  I prefer to live in different countries.  Felt a foreign woman would move around more.  Attracted only to white women who are not democrats and not religious. So I eliminated some Western Europe countries as could never spend to much time there based on dislike.

I also like my parents and in-laws to live 4,000 plus miles apart.

I liked women from many countries and came close to marrying from France and Switzerland.  If I went to Australia, probably would have married a girl there.

I married my wife because I didn't know anything about exchange rates and she told me she was worth several million rubles. I thought when we married I'd be hobnobbing with Bill Gates and such, instead I'm lucky to get a seat next to a bunch of hairy Russian guys at our local banya every other Friday! 

Just kiddin'. I believe most men can't or won't answer this question honestly, but at the same time I doubt anyone would deny that Ukraine and Russia offer men much more favorable playing fields than they have at home.

What I was looking for: attractive, younger but reasonable age (my wife is 10 years younger, she was 26 when we met), wanting a family, who was accomplished in her career, was neither a daddy's nor a mommy's girl (i.e. independent and was successful on her own), who was fun to be with, intelligent, frugal, was not a "princess." In other words, a woman that I found very attractive, who was fun being with, a woman that I could trust and a woman that I could see building a life with over a lifetime. Have now been with my wife for close to four years and she is all that and more.

As far as what I would like to find?  I like survivors and fighters.  Don't forget loyal and honest to a fault.  Add to that some smarts and there you go. 

Are all Russian Women beautiful?  I doubt it.  But, there is a large number of women, and most of them value a man - Russian or American - differently than most American Women value American Men.  That results in major boost for most guys.  This is not just an American Man / Russian Woman thing ... the same is generally true for an American Man / and women from any other culture.

MOST American guys deserve the dating pool the operate in.  I salute guys that try to change the rules of the game, providing they respect women the culture they visit, and behave as gentlemen.
