Why not a military girl?
« on: April 13, 2010, 05:29:12 PM »

she is fit, she is slim, she is disciplined, she is devoted, she is reliable, she wears high-hills, she wears mini-skirts, yet manages to look decent and professional, she takes orders from her commander, she can shoot, she's skilled in combat, she can cook and clean well.

They probably all have ugly tattoos and are chain smokers. No such thing as perfection. ;)

So why does she need a man? :selfharm:

Okay, all joking aside... I would prefer someone less regimented and from the description you gave, I don't want a woman that can take orders... or give them either.  And the warrior part is a bit of a turn off... but without knowing the person it is hard to say.  I prefer more of an equal... even if she is just being nice to me and letting me think that.   ;D

And I prefer to be the cook... though I am willing to share the kitchen.  :)

Now the rest of it sounds pretty good....

I've seen military/police women dressed like those in the photos walking on the sidewalk or on duty. If I were single at those times, I'd be talking to them. :D

I work in an environment where it is OK for men to be in the military but if my wife was currently or in the past would hamper my career growth.  Right or wrong that is one of the drawbacks as being a senior executive in global fortune 500 world. You are judged partly on how your wife acts and behaves and what her background is.

this information is quite interesting. I didn't know that Fortune 500 do background checks on the spouses of their senior executives. On the other hand - quite reasonable.

So you are saying that having a foreign wife is ok, but having an ex-military wife isn't? How about a foreign wife from Israel? Or, for example - how about senior executive female marrying a foreign man - who used to serve in army in his country?

I am just trying to understand the logic.

It looks very close to a few of the women at Passport Control. :)  Of course, some of the others were truly scary looking, but still, much nicer than coming back through US customs.

What are the typical jobs of military women in the FSU?

My UW was in the Russian military stationed in the Far East - and yes, she is all the above, although I don't know how she takes orders, I don't give her any - I don't know if she can shoot, but would love it if she could (shooting sport is one of my hobbies), as far as being skilled in combat - there was that time we wrestled around on the carpet...

The most beautiful woman I saw in Moscow was working Passport Control, although dressed in green rather than blue.
She could easily have been on magazine covers, although too short for a traditional model.
Regardless, she was the kind of woman that makes most guys go non-verbal as different parts of the brain short circuit.  Of course, who knows what her personality was like....

Had I have the money, I'd buy a country now and declare war against that country the next day. I'd make damned sure my country won't have an army but me and the biggest hot tub ever known to man.
