  I've read more then a few relationship stories where the guy has sent or handed over a lap top to his RW.  

  The above leads me to my question for yourselves... have any of you included the Slingbox program in the lap tops ? Giving your RW the ability to check out our television is a great way to slowly introduce her to the American lifestyle (sorry Europeans no Slingbox service 4 u... just yet).  When I had to adapt to another country during my previous moves, television was a good way for me to slowly learn some customs and slang, etc...  I figure the Slingbox could be just as beneficial to your RW. Heck, if you travel a lot, you yourself just might dig using it.

Hulu works with PC's over vpn / proxy.  Same with netflix, abc etc that will work with a Mac and Ipad.  Problem with slingbox is the time difference unless you hook it up to a dvr.

i think the internet speed in probably most cities there is fast enough for slingbox,...
