My Trip to Secret City in FSU

Day 3 Continued.  No English Gal (NEG)

Originally scheduled to meet with NEG at 2 PM.  

Note: I didn’t know about the NE part, or I never would have agreed to a meeting.  Explained further on.

5 feet 5 five inches, 136 pounds.  NEG did not really meet the slender category, but another factor appealed to me somewhat.  She no children and her parents were deceased.  Not that there was any joy in this situation, but I thought it might mean that she could and would devote herself more fully to her man, as compared to the typical FSU woman.

Also, she had impressed me with her tenacity during our initial correspondence.  And a good lesson here for others to be careful in your wording of messages.  In my initial messages to all of the gals, I had a sentence that said something like: “If we seem compatible (based on our written communication), then I would like to visit with you when I am in your city.”

NEG replied that I could not live with her, but she would help me find hotel, apartment, etc.  I wrote back to her that she must have me confused with someone else, because I had not suggested living with her.  But she quoted my words back to me and said the ‘visit’ meant staying with her in her apartment.

I tried to talk my way out of it (in my own mind), but in end had to admit to myself that she had a good point.  I should have used the word ‘meet’ rather than ‘visit.’  The worst part was; I wondered how many other women had not answered my first introductory message based on fact they thought I was asking to come live in their home!!  In fact, one other woman (that I never actually met, although she was in the final group of 27) had told me she had the same interpretation.

So I congratulated NEG on her analytical powers, explained to her what I had actually intended, and we continued our regular correspondence.

She told me she had weak English, but that she was currently enrolled in a class, plus was taking private lessons, and expected her English to be highly improved upon my arrival.  I had made it very clear in my profiles and in my initial contact message that I would NOT MEET with anyone where an interpreter would be required.

NEG’s messages looked pretty good to me re the English, and her words about intensive study had convinced me that all would be OK.

We scheduled a meeting for 2 PM on this day; just after the conclusion of my meeting with CSG.  But the evening before, I got an SMS from NEG asking to push back the meeting to 3:30 PM.

So after CSG departed, I walked 15 minutes to an American Franchise Chain Restaurant to have my biggest meal of the day.  OK, so shoot me.

Then, as I was walking back to the meeting place for NEG, I got an SMS from her asking if she could bring a friend who would ‘help us by acting as interpreter’ if needed.  So this violated all my rules but, rather than flat out canceling, I decided to go ahead with the meeting.  My reasoning was that I had the free time anyway, and maybe she didn’t really need the interpreter but only was feeling nervous.

So I sent SMS giving the OK, and specifying we would be having tea only.  Shortly, got phone call from the friend asking if we could push the meeting back further to 4:30 PM.  I wasn’t too happy about how things were developing, but again said OK.

I was at the agreed meeting place at 4:30 PM, but no women.  I waited until 4:45 and then headed out.  However, I had just crossed the street and walked half a block or so when got a phone call from her friend around 4:50 PM saying they were there and where was I.  I told how 4:30 had long come and gone.  She said, yes she knew, but heavy crowds on the transportation and bla, bla, bla.

I agreed to come back and meet, but by now I was not in a very good mood and was ready to bail at the first sign of trouble.  And it appeared soon.  I told the 25 something good looking gal friend that I was not there to listen to two gals talk in Russian, so she was to only become involved rarely to explain something to my gal.  She agreed, but it didn’t pan out as they gabbed a lot back and forth as we walked along the street toward an outdoor cafe.

Then, my gal did the no, no of asking why I hadn’t learned her language.  That really sets me off.  Yes, of course, I understand that many have that viewpoint and it has some logic.  But I had, in my profile and during the first couple of messages, made it crystal clear that I would NOT MEET with anyone who could not communicate in English and that I would never agree to the use of an interpreter.  When the rules are clear and agreed upon, then there is absolutely no room to question them later.

Then she asked if I had brought an Electronic translator.  When I said no, she again spoke the no, no of ‘Why Not.’  All of this went completely against everything I had carefully laid out very clearly in early communication.  And, I had already eliminated many, otherwise much better, candidates who truthfully told they could not communicate in English.

So I told the friend that it simply was not going to work.  She asked if I would try with the gal if she (the interpreter) simply just left.  But I said no, and walked away.  And, helping me make that call was fact that NEG didn’t look very attractive at all, in either face or body.  Her posted pics had been 10 or so years old.  

The 25 something interpreter gal was, as expected, quite a beauty and seemed to be very, very nice personality wise.  But I never even let those thoughts get past first base - - - re women who are clearly much too young for me - - - using my criteria.

Day 4   Sexy Feminine Gal (SFG)

Her profile stated  5 feet 7 inches and slender.  However, she was really more like 5 feet 5 inches, and I would guess around 115 pounds.   I wasn’t quite sure what she would look like as her posted pictures could have covered a span of several years.  In most she looked quite slender but in one where she had crossed her legs, her thighs looked pretty big.  Such a pose tends to enlarge the thighs, but just how much distortion was involved, I didn’t know.  She had sort of a sultry look in most pictures with sunken cheeks like many models have.  Was now a ‘sales manager’ and had previously been an airline stewardess for 15 years.  I knew that job meant that she had probably been good looking and had a good body . . . at one time.

SFG had told me that she didn’t have good English, but that no interpreter would be required.  She had not been a particularly good correspondent with mostly short messages with notations about having to hurry to do something else.  So I had not counted on her being a winner, but it was worth a shot because the physical package looked pretty good.

After my arrival in her city, and my first SMS to her, she had sent me several SMS inquiring as to how I was, were we still planning to meet at the scheduled time, etc.  In fact she was one of my most frequent correspondents; once I arrived in the city.  So things seemed to be picking up somewhat.  Possibly she had been burned before by guys who write a lot and never show up; so she wasn’t into a lot of effort until a guy actually arrived in her city.  But this strategy could have backfired on her with me as I drop ladies who don’t give fairly good effort in the email stage.  She had been right on the border.

About 5 minutes past our agreed meeting time, SFG rang on my mobile to ask where I was.  Then she said, “Oh I see you.”  I looked around and saw her waving at me from about 50 feet away as she walked toward me.

She was wearing high heels and a slinky, short, form-fitting dress; and I was quite pleased to immediately note that she still had her ‘stewardess body.’  MG and CSG had been super slender front to back with very slender arms.  SFG had a very narrow left to right body; good for aisle work on the planes.  Perfect hour glass figure because the narrow shoulders and hips were matched by narrow waist.  Her arms and legs were not bone-thin, but rather had a very nice thin layer of fat (I am just guessing here about how this is all constructed).  And she pointed out to me (at a later meeting), that she had touch of fat starting where hips and waist met, but not much.  A beautiful tan also.  At a later meeting, I was to discover just how extensive this tan was!!

SFG was the first woman I met on this trip whose body and overall looks just screamed sexuality and femininity.  And she did nothing at all to flaunt this - - - it was just there in her every movement and look.  I suspect this was all from her stewardess training, or perhaps just natural.  

SFG was also the first of the women who had a full make-up job.  I don’t really like that.  And I could not see any real flaws in her face, so I don’t think she really needed the complete foundation plus make-up job.  She still had the sunken cheeks, and could flash a beautiful smile.  But in general she often seemed to have sort of a harsh look on her face.  One that said, I have seen a lot of troubles or I have a lot of troubles.  So who knows the real story at this point.  Again her work had trained her to be pleasant and flash the smile; which could cover up a lot of true feelings toward the person she was with.

I complimented her on keeping her teenage figure and she said: “Thank you very much.  It is hard work, but I want to do it.”  Later in discussing her current job, she noted it was as ‘shift manager’ of three stores, located next to each other, with the same owner.  One was jewelry, one cosmetics, and one women’s clothing.  So that would be another reason to need to keep fit and wear the full make-up.

SFG said she would eat nothing and only drink tea.  But then she asked me if she could also order a glass of wine.  A chocolate came with her tea, but she gave it to me saying she did not eat such.

During the meal, she often seemed distracted; looking out the window, looking around the room, etc.  But she also made some good attempts at helping move the conversation along, so it was a mixed bag and could not be analyzed at this point.  I gave her the benefit of the doubt because I know it is somewhat awkward being with someone who is eating, when you are not.

It could very well be that she had zero interest in me or zero attraction toward me, but  knew she had to play along the game to get what she wanted . . . whatever that might be.  

Both my male and female friends had told me that, as a stewardess for 15 years in the  USSR, she had probably screwed every pilot, co-pilot and navigator from Murmansk to Bangkok.  Yeah, yeah, I knew that was a possibility, but what the he!!.  I don’t believe in the double standard and, as Ben told us, the important parts really do not wear out over time.

After the restaurant, we started walking toward the center of town and the large park there.  Soon our hands brushed by accident, and she firmly clasped my hand.  The first woman to do so on this trip, on a first date.  So how to read this.  Was she just a warm touchy feely person who did this quite easily with anyone, did she really have some feelings for me, was she putting on a good show?  Just couldn’t tell.

At this first meeting, I pegged her English at around 4, so that makes it difficult to get reads.  She seemed to understand every thing I said, and seemed to have a pretty good vocabulary, but still quite limited I suspected at this point.  I told her many stories, but when I asked her for some of her interesting stories from her flying days, she said, “No no, I like to hear your stories, but I have not enough English to tell you such.”  (But we had more meetings, and later I revised my estimate of her English up to 6-7).

Our hands started to get a little sticky with the humidity, so I moved her hand onto my arm European style.  Later she retook my hand often, and we ended holding ‘fingers’ for most of our walk.

SFG resisted a little about me taking her pics saying she doesn’t look good (a big joke for me), but agreed anyway.  And again, I noted how she just looked quite feminine, sensual and desirable; even as she did nothing at all of a provocative nature.  However, she did use the ‘model’ poses, so maybe it was deliberately provacative; but for her, it just all came so naturally and easy.  For the first time on this trip, I felt the movement in my shorts as I looked at her posing for the pics.  And she also wanted to take pics of me; albeit with my camera.

I really couldn’t get a read at all as to her plans for the rest of our first meeting.  We started walking back toward my apartment, but we were on the main street, so I knew it could lead to anywhere.  I was caught at 50/50 as to whether we were going to walk to my apartment without saying a word about it, or whether she was going to cut-out.

She decided on the cut-out option saying: Here is my stop.  I told her I had enjoyed our date and she said the same for her.  I leaned forward for a quick kiss and she turned her face to receive on cheek.  So it ended as still a mystery and mixed bag.  She had seemed distant at times, looking around in the restaurant, staring off into space, but perhaps was due to the English.  In other respects (taking my hand, etc.) she had been the warmest of the ladies; for first dates.

In two days I sent her SMS thanking for the good time and saying we could meet later during the next week; if she wanted.  She texted me back within about 10 minutes saying: “ I would very much like to meet you again. Just let me know when.”  And later I found that she had a very flexible work schedule (partly because business was down considerably), and could be with me most any time I wanted.


OK, so at this point, after 5 first dates, I had two strikeouts, two singles and a double.   Not referring to the first, second, third base and home run categories; just my analysis of the dates and progress made toward possible compatibility.

But with 5 down and 22 more to go of the 27 dates, I am starting to see a pattern here.

You meet SAS (sweet and sexy) or DAL (definitely a looker) or TGIF, give a quick rundown on their face, teeth, body, sex appeal etc., how they match-up to their pics etc..

You mention where you arranged to meet them, how the dinner/drinks/walk went.

Whether or not they wished to go back to your apartment etc..

But what it all comes down to in the end is, did you find ONE woman who you went for and she went for you?

Isn't that really what all of the dates were about?

The rest is just window-dressing, repetitive journal entries.

If you did, maybe you could tell us now?

I like the trip reports. Keep in mind that other peoples trip reports are as close to Russia and Ukraine as some here will ever get. There's a lot to be learned from reading other peoples trip reports. These reports are far more in touch with reality than certain posters opinions here that they feel everyone must abide by.

Yes his observations are the same as most other men's.
But most other men have a bit more tact in revealing their thoughts.

His underlying premise was riding the dollar to the ride you can not get here and usually a younger filly.  I really do not think you are, but could be first cousins.  This is neither indictment nor condemnation; so far, a good read. At this point in his story, Mars still has 20 more RW to meet.  Then I assume he will re-visit those he deems the best.  How many will that be?  5, 6, 7....? 

After that I presume he will be in a position to select the "one" for further meetings.  This could take 30 more pages.  Doll, you will have returned from Russia by the time this story concludes.
