Russian / English Talking Dictionary Translator - Any advice ??

Anyone ever traveled to FSU with a Russian English Talking Dictionary Translator ?

Lots of types available.  Just wondering if beneficial to take on trip to FSU?

I believe the Talking Dictionary Translator translates English to Russian and Russian to English.

If yes, what makes / models work best?

For Russian to English translations I would suggest a Russian Woman over the age of 26 or 27, especially if you are seeking relaitonships.

If you buy an electronic translator and aim at meeting women with no or very little english, the translator will not help you get over the real questions that will need answering like compatability,  shared interests and goal, ability to adapt (not her, both of you), etc.

I know some guys have taken them in the past and they probably helped them sort out words or some sentances but really,  it's not going to help you communicate deeply.

To do that you'll need to meet women with good english skills, and that alone will help you find what you are looking for.

My students, wife, sister-in-law and stepson find the Franklin talking Dictionary/Thesaurus models work best. They give the definition, synonyms and a pronunciation. While the computer rendered pronunciation is lacking at times, it gives them an idea and usually is okay. I'll add a couple of the better model numbers after I look them up in a bit.
