Frozen Shadows ?

Not sure if I will be able to post a lot next week, as we are going on our first trip back to Moscow since Mila came to live with me.

Moscow is doing its best not to leave pleasant memories, current temperatures are cold, but better is expected the coming days. We will be in Moscow from 21st to 29th of January, providing the spaghetti airline reaches destination.
No it is not a dog. Its really how I look.  ;)

Pack lots of warm weather in your suitcase.  If you can I will be very thankful cause I will be there then too, at least part of those days.  Right now I am in Kiev freezing my tail off.

Good luck guys...having grown up in michigan, I know the temps you are talking about aren't much fun.  although -53 would be a new low for me if that is an actual and not a wind chill reading...which I am assuming that it is.

Seriously, at these temps, it is more than just packing "warm clothes".  Exposed skin gets frostbite almost immediately.  Dress in layers...buy hitech longjohns...etc

Best of luck...

Yep,

Spent a week in -47f and that was more than enough for me. I did notice though, anything under -20 is just TOO FRIGGIN' COLD! Your body really can't distinguish the difference between -25 and -35 as it can when those numbers get into the "+" range.

The cold in Moscow was not as bad. Just not take a long walk outside, and all is ok.

It was funny to experience the windows INSIDE the bus frozen even when temperatures were not below zero.

Right now I have packed the cold in to my bags and will take a little of it to the USA. I'll be around the New Jersey are from Feb 4 to Feb 9, and it promises to be below zero once I arrived.:)

New Jersey? You could've picked a better place Shadow! Are you bringing Mila with you? If so, did she have any problems getting a visa?

I agree with Daknack.

Visit sunny Baltimore where the temperature is 57 degrees Fahrenheit in February.

It was out of my decision powers to locate the best place for opening the USA office of the company.

But after -30C in Russia I can handle a bit of cold and snow. I won't venture a long way out as I might end up in Mexico when taking a wrong turn.:D
