Maybe the other one too. This one was sort of canted, but in focus. The other one was of the Cathedral has a little focus problem.

Still - they are probably better than I could do. I *know* that one of the river is better.

Ohh - well that one is bang-on focus-wise.

At first I did not think they were the same photo but I could tell they were by the same streaks of light.  jb, somewhere in the Paintshop process you effected the quality of the sharpness that is clearly shown in one photo that you don't see in the other.

Well, I'm not much of a Photo Shopper, no excuses for me on that.   But I thought the photos would perhaps dissuade some of the newbies to  get over the notion that Russian is some sort of back water mud hole.

Moscow is one of the most picturesque cities in the world. Not third  worldly at all, in fact it's a world class European capital city.   Very beautiful, indeed.

jb, I often say that Moscow and St. Petersburg are not Russian cities. They just happen to be located in Russia.

Although I've only been to St. Pete once, and far too briefly, I do  love that city.  It's my dream to return there during White  Nights,,, with a decent camera...
