..... we're both at the point where we're tired of waiting.

I recall those days.  My first born was two weeks late.  As someone told me then, the apple will not fall from the tree until it is ready.   It didn't help much.

Thanks for all the good wishes  :welcome:

BF, we're expecting a girl, continuing the trend you started (I seem to recall a number of baby girls being born to members here over the last few years)  ;D

Sweet!  I never had a little girl, but from my experience with my Russian stepchild, girls are precious.  And it is fun making them feel like a princess.

Gator:) Absolutely not!:) As a mother of a boy I declare that they are as precious as the girls:) In any way it does not make any difference as of what sex is a child at all, they are all little princesses and princes! :)

After reading the awful news today about David Neeley, I wasn't going to post this, but sometimes a little good news goes a long way on a bad day.

Little Emily was born on Monday morning, we're completely captivated by her.

Congratulations, Groove.    Excellent news!

You know, other than looking tired in that photo (get used to it), you look younger than in the photos you posted of yourself and your then fiancee.  Married life must agree with you!

Thanks for all the good will, friends  :D

We're home now and everyone is well. I'm off work until after the 4th so it's just the three of us, we've finally achieved that staple of RW dating profile goals: having a "cozy home."  ;D ;D

GQ, that's a little clamp for her umbilical cord, which should fall off in a few days.

Thanks, HT.

I know I'm biased, but she's adorable enough to melt even the most cynical soul.

My MIL stayed with us for 2 weeks after I returned to work, which was a big help. (No problem getting her 2nd visa.) We convinced mom to start learning English, even though we plan to have our daughter learn Russian from a very young age, so that she can be an important part of her life.

Very sweet, groov.

Cherish those moments.  They grow up very quickly.

Beautiful pics Groov...  Boethius is right - they do grow so quickly.

Every moment is special!

Gosh - I'm ready for a third (would love a little girl).  I think I'll have to cook dinner tonight and crack open a bottle of wine and "have a talk to the wife about it".

"Hello darling,  more wine?"   :P
