Having been on a number of tours myself let me counteract your internet based supposition with some cold facts based upon personal experience of meeting FSUW through this avenue. Most, if not all the ones I have met do have a considerable amount of self respect.

At my opinion it depends on the bond of the relationship between the guy and the girl.
If they are really connected and have spent a lot of months to correspond daily yes i think of course the girl can really feel offended and hurted in her heart and in her proud. (but the guy must secretly prepare a backup with second, third girl and agencies' adresses).

But as soon this relationship is light or recently, or if the man explains explicitely what he is going to do anyway (a visit many) if the girl begins to shout about knowing the guy is preparing a visit many so she is stupid, selfish or immature. We know the men have to pay for the whole courtship and travel. The question is : wich sacrifice does she make for you ?
Don't forget you are not yet in an exclusive relation,
 Be sure that if  "they are not the "only one" being visited." (tatata --> they are very offended to be not the only princess...) they have no fear to be visited or to write to many guys.
Sometimes better to say nothing and to visit many.
By changing of town
By having an exchange not a long time before coming in her city.
By not saying exactly when you will land .
By saying honestly what you are doing as long as the bond is not too deep and being ready to loose some contacts.

The girl who are saying they want an exclusive travel, just before any previous meeting is a typical female BS, don't believe them, it's a trap. They are not stopping their correspondance or meetings at the same time because a/ perhaps you will not show b/ perhaps you are a sexual tourist or and a liar c/ if she is a valuable and mature lady she will not rely on only one solution but will keep many, at least two or three, till a K1.

What about beauty pageants which seem to be an American tradition?  The beauty pageants start for girls of 4 or 5 and run through all the age groups up to adults like Miss USA and Miss America.  There must be literally millions of American girls and women who have taken part in some type of beauty pageant.

The only thing I agree with is that on this occasion your comments suggests you are either ignorant of the facts or GoodOltrolling.

FWIW I fully accept and acknowledge that some/many WM might not want to look for a wife via a 'tour'.  I also fully accept and acknowledge that some/many FSUW might not want to look for a husband using this method either. To suggest that all women who attend such functions have zero respect for themselves just isn't true ... period.

And I agree with Gator, Jack, and Xman... six months can be a long time to wait.

Yeah, the cold of January can suck out loud, and I do mean a loud slurping sound of galactic intensity, but much less suckage than corresponding for 6 months, meeting in person and having everything evaporate within minutes of meeting.  I guess the cold is relative though as it's just as cold and colder in some parts of USA and certainly Canada as it is anywhere in Ukraine.

Not sure if there will be a problem upon real meeting or not.  It won't be looks - I have sent her about 2 dozen recent, very high quality pictures of my ugly mug - she knows I am a big hairy balding white dude.

She said she will use the 6 months to take English classes - we will start phone calls end of November.  She has both the classes and a private tutor for 2 hours every Sunday.

So, all in all, I think it has a lot of potential

I think she is pretty settled on me so far... she may have a man right now that I am not aware of, but if that is the case, probably a f**k toy for her   My big fear is that she has a boyfriend now, and will decide to keep him when I arrive to her.  Thus I keep sending her photos of me that are accurate, from a 9mp camera.
