I used this service when in Kiev in September.

Good apartment right near Arena and a few minutes walk from Kreshatik (but they have many)...

Good service, great rates on airport transfers and very reliable...  no shonky rip offs you'll get from the guides...

Airport transfers were $30 I think...  after dropping us in the centre the driver INSISTED on taking me to buy groceries because we had arrived late at night with two infants and then when we got back to the apartment he refused to take extra money for the extra 45 minutes or so.

I would recommend them, but caution you to confirm EVERYTHING before arriving - because I trust no one when traveling.

Kuna, Brian writes that he is going to stay there for 3 months. If the apartment costs 70-80 USD per night, how much is it going to cost him for 3 months?

Brian, you need to look at a different market - of short-term leases, rather than daily rent.

Those look OK, in Ukraine it's 1-bedroom but essentially it's an equivalent to US studio:

http://100realty.com.ua/realty/details/1932451.html ($693/mo) - 40 m2

http://100realty.com.ua/realty/details/1933125.html ($1000/mo) - 38 m2
http://100realty.com.ua/realty/details/1913434.html ($750/mo) - 60 m2

Brian, if you know someone in Kyiv - ask them to call to provided phone numbers and inquire about apartments and possibility for short-term (3 months) lease. Also ask for exact street address and map them in google - to get idea how close it is to metro and attractions.

Or more here: http://capital-kiev.com/ru/flat4rent.html

Essentially, you are going to look for the following districts in Kyiv:
Lipki/Липки  - best location, also most expensive one. Beautiful buildings.
Pechersk/Печерск
Pechersk, center/Печерск, центр
Podol/Подол
center/Центр

also possible (less central, but safe and reasonably close to everything, + cheaper): Tatarka, Lukyanivka

Same guy that was planning to be in Kharkov or Dnep 2 weeks ago?  I would suggest a daily rental cheap place until you find a lady, then get a nicer place.

A beautiful woman is pleasant to look at, but it is easier to live with a pleasant acting one.
