10,000$ and 156 days to get K1 visa approval. Keep in mind this was 3 trips back and forth (within a year) including a 1 month stay in her home town. she has been here now since Aug 20 2010 and we are waiting for GC interview. AOS 1010.00$ check.  Another mouth to feed ,clothes and by no other definition than a "dependent" You will be required to provide proof of making 125% of poverty level to get the visa just to mention a few things.

You have taken the first step, which is where 95% of the other men fail. congratulations !!!!!!  Glad to hear you are going for a second trip.

If I were the OP, I would NOT even think of marrying someone from abroad, no way.
I do understand Cat needs a woman in the house but it has to be an American with a decent stable income, a bank account, a car and preferably a house.
