well in a bout 45 days I will be going for my first trip looking forward to it, going someplace I have never been
And have some very nice ladies I will be seeing if things click thats great and if not its still going to be a great time
it will still be cold but wanted to make this one now didnt want to write letters and talk one skype for a long period of time just enought to see if the interest was on both sides and then go back  when its warmer

Recently received some.advice.that maybe I should have set the trip up a bit differently and made.arangements to meet a lot more ladies.newbe mistake??? Maybe I thought it was good to have one or two I am mostly interested in meeting with 5 or 6 others

it will be better to make some arrangements for sure. because many ladies you are talking to might disappear somewhere. some of them might be busy with work. somebody will be travelling and etc.
always have plan B.

I strongly advise you to have a Plan B in mind. It may involve other women, sightseeing, relaxation or frenetic clubbing but don't let a setback bog you down. Stay in touch and don't hesitate to ask for help or jump on one of the better sites like EM or even the free ones and at least meet some folks on your trip.

Yes I have thought I had a plan b with a few.ladies. but someone gave me advice to meet Lots of.women
I will probably have some.correspondance with a.few more before I go
Even if nothing works out with the ladies I have been in contact with I will have a great trip one thing im not is shy and have never had a problem meeting and starting a conversation I know a little.russian and know a translator so im going to have a blast know matter what happen
life is an.adventure and should be lived that way

As far as meeting ladies goes, it depends on your goal.
If you want to test the waters, lets the waves roll in.
When considering the option of forming a serious relationship, better limit the numbers and have more time to get to know (pne of) them.

Do as you are used to at home, as you will not magically change in to a different person in Ukraine (try to get used to removing the word "the").

Yea Shadow thats what I was thinking too so I have plans to spend more time with the ladies I am most interested in
Im always the same person know matter where I am
it will be a great trip know matter what happens with any of the ladies
and I have never had a problem with starting conversations with women I dont know here, so Im sure it will be the same except for some what of a language barrier I know a little russian, I guess I could play the im from the USA and lost card  LOL to open up a conversation
But im going to a place I have never been Ill see a few different cities and spend time with some very nice ladies it doesnt really get any better than that. Except they wont be in their spring outfits  but I plan on going back when its warmer

You may find a little time spent on grammar, spelling, and punctuation would be in order for any written communications with folks who don't speak English as a first language. Randomly throwing in periods everywhere but at the end of sentences, for example, would be quite confusing to someone whose English is learned at school.

but sometimes I reply from my phone and the key pad is a bit small for my fingers and its program even changes a word or two from time to time im not worried about backing up and correcting it on a forum site

Hey dgc,
             You're taking the most important asset: a good attitude and sounds like you're flexible; so no matter what happens you'll be able to roll with the punches. 
            I greatly wish I had known more Russian beyond the simple greetings and short responses.   A great potential relationship probably floundered due to the strain with communications.
            Otherwise, have a blast. And be sure to give us a trip report when finished.   They've been too few and too short as of late.     U.
