Greetings from an Australian success story
« on: January 25, 2011, 05:39:00 PM »
Hi All,

Reading my inbox it seems I must make an introductory post.  My name is Shane, 34, no longer single...

Whilst I am new to the site I am not new to searching in a foreign land for a partner. I have used most of the big name sites and will share insights on them in replies to other posts. I also have a good deal of knowledge on Australian immigration law and will again share that with regards to other postings.

My insight into Russia, Ukraine etc etc will be far more limited. I took my time in searching, followed the 10 commandments (although I'd never seen them before today, they just made sense) and waited for the right woman.

Nice to meet you all, I look forward to sharing some information and hopefully making it easier for those looking for their foreign partner.

Shane

Shane, where ya' from? Coupla Qld's hang around from time to time (Kuna and myself). Most other Aussies seem to have the manners or smarts to keep their heads down for the most part but they do exist.................

You didn't cough up much in the opening post, what's the real dirt?

I am originally from Qld, the Gold Coast actually. Have been in Melbourne for two years.

There's no real dirt to cough up. I was thinking of writing a blog to help other Australian's in their search but then came upon this site and thought that rather reinvent the wheel I'll just add some Australian flavour here and there.

Shanew, welcome to the forum! Glad to hear youre not single any more and found someone special.

I have a question to you and other gus form Australia:
who can afford having a russian/ukranian wife? I mean - by profession, income and so on.

Cause i found there are lots of men on dating sites from that far away from my country. And not all of them realise that they have to spend a lot on flights, visas, meetings, living before we can find a job and so on. Thats a problem, thought they are really good guys.....
