Welcome to the forum.  Now, all you have to do is find a woman named "Moon Pie" and you'll be the perfect couple! 

I'm a fellow "suthener".. there are a few of us here, as well as participants from all over the world.  Jump into discussions wherever you feel comfortable.

Avoiding scams is not nearly as difficult as you may think in the beginning of your search.  As GoB mentioned, read the 10 Commandments, and just keep your wits about you (think with the correct head, and not the one trying to convince you it knows everything), and listen to your gut... if something triggers your "man, that doesn't seem quite right" alarm, then ask some questions. 

Lastly, you have to remember that your search is YOUR responsibility.  If you do pose a question or two, you will almost assuredly receive varied responses (unless it is to ask about the sudden appearance in your email of a Russian woman raised in an orphanage, wanting to have your baby, devoted solely to you, who searches for mushrooms in the forest while she dreams of her life with you... THEN 99.9999% of the responses will be identical with perhaps one possible response from the Idiots in the Midst Club)
