So many woman?

I'm new here. I'm 36, divorced and have been doing Internet dating locally for about 2 years. Met probably 20 woman but I just can't seem to find the right one.

The second time around I would like a woman with some integrity for the long haul. Some one that doesn't have unrealistic expectations for a marriage. Would I find something like this with Russian woman?

Today I started reading about Russian woman. I also opened a profile on a site with some photos, description, etc. I don't know if I'm allowed to say the name of the site here? (Russian brides club)  6 hours later I got about 50 (winks) from the most beautiful woman I have ever seen. I also got about 10 messages practically begging me to contact them and these woman are beautiful. I'm really sceptical.. This for real?

As I'm typing here I'm still getting messages?? I think my profile is good and the photos are good too and had quite good results on dating sites locally here but nothing compared to what I'm getting on this russian dating site.

That's a can of worms... sometimes the expectations of FSUW can be truly bizarre in some ways...

You are absolutely right on target with your skeptic feelings. Don't fall for that trap.  That site is probably a pay to open/read, pay to write, pay to chat site.. correct?  They have one goal and that is play to your innate fantasies to milk you for as much money as they can.  That's not to say you can't find a sincere woman on that or any site (don't know that site), however, it would be a one in a million chance for one to just drop in your lap immediately after your joining a site.

Welcome to the Nuthouse... hang around, read thread, do some searches, and learn a little more about this venture and equip yourself with some knowledge (you already seem have the most necessary ingredients -- common sense and gut instinct -- so you should do just fine)

There are plenty of genuine, serious, and lovely ladies and then there are plenty of scams and gold-diggers out there as well.

Do more homework--spend some hours reading through this site and you'll find it well worth your time.

Avoid any agencies with a pay per letter/contact model, as that is a very bad method to find anyone sincere...but a fast way to become much lighter in the wallet.

There are a number of very good methods to meet worthwhile ladies, depending upon your preferences, interests, and budget of time and money. You will discover quite a few as you go through the board.

You're all so full of assumptions...  like the OP isn't a multi-millionaire who has a benevolent nature...  and you all assume he doesn't look like George Cluny...

There are many genuine women making a fine living out of chat scams...  but they are still genuine women...

You only need to find one honest Yulia amongst all those Fat Yuri's...

I met a guy in a resort who told me about a friend who had a cousin who met his Russian wife on a sex chat site...  they are very happy by all reports...



Errrrr....  actually,  while the devil is out of the room I should tell you to listen to all of the other guys above...  It sounds very much like a scam.

Yes, it's a pay per letter site. You get charged for reading her letters.. Anywhere between which looks like $5-$10+ (yes, to read 1 reply from her).. you're not allowed to exchange contact information. So after 15 replies you may exchange contact information .. reason being there is some law in the US called IMBRA March 2006 regarding this kind of thing..

So let's say you contact 10 woman (in my mind I would like to contact 20-30+ if I'm going to be looking at spending the kind of money that is involved in this)

So 15x$5 = $75 per woman .. x 10 = $750 ... $750 for a couple of letters?? So I think I'll give this site a skip.

All in all up to now I have recevied probably 100 winks or smiles or whatever they call it.. and about 25 messages.. and still going.. but I tell you the woman are incredibly beautiful and there are probably many thousands.

Anybody know of good sites that you can recommend?

Mr W, sounds like you are describing nata$haclub. Even I don't care for that one though a friend of mine swears by it, to each his own.
All sites are vehicles and you just have to learn how to maneuver through each one. Caution and knowledge are your best weapons. I would also say time also but some 1 trip wonders would say different.

I would NEVER recommend to a friend to look for a wife in FSU!!!

Now, take away the "looking for a wife" aspect of it.... then hell yeah, it's been an adventure and a blast but damn was I one completely ignorant dreamer in the beginning.

And exactly how many did you go through date prior to finding your wife?    If I had found a compatible life partner with the first one I met, I just might share that same opinion.  Most guys are not so lucky.

Well, I would too... the women are cool... the process, unless one gets fairly lucky, is a pain in the butt before marriage and challenging after.  IMO, and has been said more than a few times, this really isn't for everyone.

I hear you. I can tell you one thing, I've been on lists and fora like this for a long time and in that time I've seen (figuratively) many guys ask and get a train wreck because a lack of common sense.

Still, I would recommend this to any of my friends. As a matter of fact, a good friend recently divorced his UA wife and is on the prowl again. His story is what many here dread. Not a GCG. What happened is he married a girl that was too young for him. I can tell you this, at prima faciae they didn't show the age discrepancy.
