Rubicon's Delve Into the Ugly Past . . .

This is what Elena Besuden (now Elena Sykes) owner of Anastasia Web has to say about Jack Bragg (warning it's not pretty):

Hello members
Lets just get things straight. Jack Bragg is the cheapest person I ever met
in my whole life. Showed up in Moscow and started telling me some fairy tale
about how my husband (David) promised that he could go to Anastasia socials
for $20. This is a service regular clients pay $250 for. I asked him why
would David give him such a deal. (I never even heard the guy's name before
and I'm in the office every day from 9 to al ours of the night). So Jack
goes into a half an hour speech about some $50.000 phone system that he
"will be happy" to sell to us for $14.000. Well, then I got it - Just
another "used car salesman" trying to convince us why it is in our best
interests for us to give him stuff for free. (We get them just like any
other business). Once again, my husband like a nice Southern Gentleman that
he is, could not tell the guy a sraight "no". Just to make sure I did call
David in the US and asked if he promised anything to Jack. David just
laughed. Now, anyone who doubts my words can call & talk to Dave -
6067450776, 9-5 Mo-Fri. So I did not let Jack to come to our socials for $20
- why would I? I had 35 men there, each had paid over $2500 to be there, it
would not be fair to them.
Now here is a little inside into Jack's character. Jack has a gift of
talking people into things - this very night, he talked my Russian manager
Dmitriy & his wife Julia to double date with him and some Russian girl he
met. Dmitriy is a nice guy and as many Russians has a bit of a problem
saying "No" to foreigners, but anyway, here's what he said happened. Him &
Julia met Jack & Jack's date who was wearing a open evening dress. This girl
was dressed to kill - probably spent her whole month's salary on that
outfit. She was definitely looking forward to that evening - one of first
times for her going out with a Western man. High hopes and all that. Where
does Jack takes her - you would not believe it - Kentucky Fried Chicken.
Julia (Dmitriy's wife) was so upset for the girl. And that's not all - when
the check came - Jack told the poor girl he expected her to pay her part of
a $12 bill! Dmitriy was so shocked - he paid for all 4 of them.
No objections from Jack. Dmitriy was thouroughly discusted & told me the
whole story next morning.
Dear Jack, I have contacted our company's attorney. He says that your
statement about our Express Mail service is enough to sue you for
deformation of character. I understand that you are upset since you did not
get something for nothing, but try posting more nasty things that live only
in your imagination and you will find yourself in a whole a lot of trouble.
By the way David also thinks you are a joke. Where did you get it about his
poor health? He's never been healthier & is lookinmg forward to going on the
April tour. Call 6067450776 if you don't believe me. Thank you. Elena"

Rubicon,

Others have received warnings for posting by proxy in the past. Consider yourself warned.

I have spoken to Elena in the past, and she knows us well. She is fully capable of posting here if she chooses. She needs no 'assistance' from you, or anyone else.

sorry, my mistake.

Your re-post may not survive. I need to consider if it is more equitable to delete it altogether, or for it to remain with commentary.

Here is my earlier post addressing this very issue:

>>Taken from the position you've staked above, are you implying GOB have legal grounds to sue Dan for libel for implying or insinuate he involves himself with criminal activity like using hallucinogenic drugs?<<

Actually, I gave thought to that very point when I changed the topic's Subject. The prospect of litigation is never far from my mind having been threatened with it so often, and having seen a few that went to litigation in the past.

In terms of this 'situation' what *is* clear to me is that GOB is intent on projecting his moralistic perspective onto RWD. Some will resonate with the position GOB has staked out - particularly those who, for whatever reason, do not like Jack (and Jack does himself no favors in this regard as he clearly feels no great need to be liked by others). Much of the problem, in fact, is sorting out the hard issues from the like/dislike factor - and I will give examples:

GOB is, as I just wrote, a judgmental moralist (IMNSHO). His expressed opinion of Jack is that Jack is a "pimp" and the innuendo in much of what he writes suggests (at least suggests) that GOB considers Jack as a peddler of flesh (my words, not GOB's), and casts aspersions on Jack at nearly every opportunity.

There are others in the crowd who think little of Jack - among them are BC, OlgaH, Boethius, GQBlues (did I miss anyone?).

When I first noticed GOB's post in the original topic, I gave consideration to a variety of possible responses. I ultimately chose to split it off with nothing more than poking a bit of fun at GOB with the Topic Title change. I was only slightly surprised to learn from GOB's admission, that he was, indeed, under the influence of a substance when he composed the original post.

There is no doubt in my mind that GOB's post was mean-spirited and fully intended to disparage Jack directly through a thin veil of misplaced humor.

While I believe GOB means well, his arrogant and moralistic judgment imposition is wearing thin - AND - he is not too interested in taking the hints that have been provided.

Earlier in this post I mentioned sorting out the hard issue(s) from those centered around the like/dislike factors. There are two 'hard' issues in play here. One is the ongoing baseless allegations of wrongdoing by Jack - specifically, that he engages in any form of sex trade activity. This has been the subject of at least one previous topic at RWD and according to the principles of res judicata, we are not going to revisit it further. One of the claims against Jack is that he has been maligned in numerous venues across the internet with some of these same allegations. True enough - and I have first-hand experience with Jack's competitors or simply Jack-bashers who post such tripe knowing it is not factual. I do not believe RWD should become a dumping ground for this sort of garbage. There is simply no factual evidence that Jack is guilty of the sorts of allegations being lodged by GOB or others.

The other 'hard' issue is, BC makes a strong point that Jack's use of RWD to drum up business may be in violation of the RWD TOS. This is the topic that Jack posted, and from which THIS topic was split -- http://www.russianwomendiscussion.com/index.php?topic=13500.0.

One of the rules I try to apply when reading other's posts is to read them as written. Over the years I have found that when I try to 'read between the lines' or interpret something that was not clear, I often get it wrong. As a result, if I find something unclear, I ask questions.

As I read Jack's OP, I did not see it as him drumming up business - though I do see how others might feel that he was. I also did not ascribe the nefarious ulterior motives that others ascribed.

I'll stop here - at least for now. There is more that might be written but I need a break.

- Dan

Please pay attention to this, in particular:

This is what Elena Besuden (now Elena Sykes) owner of Anastasia Web has to say about Jack Bragg (warning it's not pretty):

Rubicon,

A lingering question in my mind here is, do you have a question as to Jack Bragg's legitimacy in the MOB business? Have you explored Jack and his agency? This question comes to mind to me 'because' your post deflecting on his character comes from AW. Are you possibly a customer of AW? Did you just cut and paste because you found this from AW and thought it timely to this particular thread? Why, did you post that? I would really like your thoughts here.

I remember you stated you made a visit and used Mordinson agency. To my knowledge you have not made mention of any other visits. Yet, I have seen on a few occasions where you mention questionable agencies as if you are considering those.

I will lend to you some knowledge I have gained being through the process and kicked around on the boards awhile. Jack has some people that do not like him. I've noticed most of those are competition. That says something to me. All were not. I remember one was a dissatisfied customer. That's one that I remember. I've known a few more instances than that, where Jack helped someone basically because he could and he was asked. That says something to me too.

I've never used Jacks services. I don't know if he is good or bad as I have no experience but, there have been several proclaimed he has a good gig and delivers. Many more than I have ever heard from Modinson or AW. Given your agency history, your professed high intelligence why not take a more open-minded look at Jack's services. No need to respond but, maybe something for you to ponder FWIW

I know you don't like me but I will tell you this as a favor

dbneely on the other thread said he met a number of happily married couples in Texas that Jack put together. This in itself speaks volumes for the positives for Jack.

I really do not have anything against Jack and I have never met him nor used his services.  I thought it was an interesting comment to post because it was allegedly made by one of his competitors.  I did read the GQ article about Jack and I noticed many contradictions between that article and what he sometimes says now.  I also noticed posts by him with name Nunya.  Some of the things he posts are crazy.  That is all I will say.

Mordinson has a very good reputation in Europe and I have noticed a lot of men who got married after using Mordinson who are on RUA.  I have not used Mordinson yet but they are in my top 3 under consideration.

If you will read my thread Aweb/HRB versus two legitimate agencies than you would know that I am not real big on AWEB.  This does not change the fact that if you know what you are doing you can get a woman's contact info for a reasonable price if you do find a legit lady on AWEB.  I consider legit to be age 27 and up.

I read a lot of this stuff about Jack and I feel I know Jack fairly well.  Some things like the comment elsewhere of him wearing a red bandana and sweeting profusely sounds like Jack.  He takes his stuff very seriously.

As far as the comments from Elena, I could picture him offering them a bargain on a phone system.  He is a true salesman and is in the phone business.  That rings true.  As far as his being cheap and taking a gal to KFC and wanting her to pay part, that doesn't fit with what I know of Jack.  I mentioned to Jack that I would be in Dallas last year.  He took me out to dinner while I was there and we went to a very nice restaurant and as hard as I tried to pay the bill he insisted on paying it.  I have never seen him be "cheap".

Jack is a very dynamic person.  I saw him chewing out one of his staff on my tour that had dropped the ball in helping one of the guys and to be honest I was glad I was not on the recieving end of that lecture.  The fact is she didn't do what she was being paid to do.  He takes what he does very seriously.

Much of the comments about Jack comes from competitors the rest mostly comes from people who have never used him and don't know him.  It's very unusual to hear bad comments from anyone who has gone on his tour.

Jack is a very dynamic individual.  I am sure some find him pushy and that may turn off a few but he uses that on the tours to help his men so there is a good side to it.  No one in any agency works harder to help his men find a good woman and to be successful.

I'm not defending Jack and from my POV Jack doesn't need defending. Turbo's post is an example as to what I was referring. Those that have used his services praise the experiences.

I stand corrected. You haven't made a trip. Then why would you praise Mordinson agency not having used them yet feel the need to pile on Jack with unsubstantiated rumor from a competitor? Thats very inconsistent. Did you do any searches on Mordinson? Much of what you'll find is less than sterling and from actual customers.

The conflict here Rubicon is that you don't know what you are doing. You only think you do. You are long on advice and short on experience. Anyone can buy contact info from AFA, AW, HRB or any of the other pay by credits. You have no idea if a woman is legit until after you meet her face to face. Cam sessions don't count.

I only point that out as a reminder that you'll learn so much more by listening with your ears than you do listening with your mouth. Most people here want you to be successful and there is ample experience here to help insure you are successful if you'll just listen to it. Remember this, agencies will mislead you.

This is what Elena Besuden (now Elena Sykes) owner of Anastasia Web has to say about Jack Bragg (warning it's not pretty):

You are correct about one point -  the FSU agency business is not pretty.

Consider your source:

-  The quote is 11 years old.

-  The source (AWeb) is one of Jack's competitors.

-  The RWD archives are replete with accounts of AWeb forwarding unsolicited, insincere yet provocative mail to men from fleshy RW with the objective of generating "pay by letter" and "video chat" income.  There are some accounts by men who have spoken to these women and learned that the women are paid for such letter writing and chatting.

Now consider the substance of the charge against Jack:

-  He attempted to sell a telephone system (one of his businesses).

-  He is cheap (the opposite of what was experienced by Turbo, perhaps RWD's most experienced member)

-  He took his date to KFC.

KFC!!!   WTF!   Now that  I know that, forget everything that I wrote above.  Throw Jack under the bus.  Who in their right mind would go to KFC?!

Seriously, who should a man use if he decided he wanted to go on a tour,  AWeb or Jack?

Strange think about KFC, McDonalds, Pizza Hut, etc.

Everyone bad mouths them;  yet they have millions of customers every day.
I go there every once in awhile when I am nearby and in a hurry.
Have never suggested to an AW that we go there on a date . . . but

I have had several FSUW suggest that we go there.
No, not when we are on the way to ballet, but at other times when we are just walking around, etc.

But asking a FSUW to pay for her meal .
He!! an FSUW wouldn't want to pay zilch even if she brought along 10 of her family members.
A beautiful woman is pleasant to look at, but it is easier to live with a pleasant acting one.

I have never met Jack, nor used any of his services.
But I have read on many occasions on many different boards post by guys who did use him and were very happy with his services and what he does for his guys.
Several of these guys have even pointed out that Jack provided a lot of help and advice to them . . . even when they weren't his clients.

Now I also have witnessed Jack's many 'peeing matches' with other guys and was quite surprised that he could be a successful business person after displaying such childishness and unrelenting viciousness.

So he is quite an enigma.

Seriously, who should a man use if he decided he wanted to go on a tour,  AWeb or Jack?

And there is yet more to the story . . .

As I recall, this post by Elena was made very shortly after Jack had just posted what he learned about Elena Besuden and Dan Sykes having an extramarital affair.

For those who do not know, Anastasia was founded by David and Elena Besuden. In fact, that is why their corporate records are still based in Kentucky - home of the Besuden family (reference -- http://app.sos.ky.gov/ftshow/%28S%28akkomd55qcqliwqem5twt545%29%29/default.aspx?path=ftsearch&id=0407690&ct=09&cs=99999). By all accounts David Besuden was an upstanding individual with a sterling reputation.

At that time Jack was pretty involved as a customer of several of the agencies, including Anastasia, European Connections and others and he became known to the principals of the companies - including David Besuden (Anastasia) and the Steckels (EC).

Anastasia hired Dan Sykes, as I understand it, to assist/manage their tour business as David did not want to travel. Again, as I understand it (Jack can clarify as he was far closer to it than me) Dan and Elena began having an affair, perhaps during these trips to accompany men on the tours. When Jack learned about it, he posted it on the internet - maybe RWG (not sure of the venue). Very soon after that, the post by Elena appeared disparaging Jack.

Now . . . since that all transpired, the further developments are:

* David Besuden and Elena divorced.
* Dan Sykes and Elena married.
* David died not long ago.

Make of that what you will, but to the extent I recall the events unfolding, this is factual. If I am mistaken about anything, I welcome correction or clarification.

Most people here want you to be successful and there is ample experience here to help insure you are successful if you'll just listen to it. Remember this, agencies will mislead you.

Faux Pas,

You simply do not read very well.  I have made a trip.  I do have direct face time with ladies.  You do not need to spend time on cam do get contact information.
I do NOT favor using most agencies.  I do NOT do business with AFA or HRB. I do NOT recommend doing business with Aweb.  please stop implying that.  please stop taking one small thing that I say and extrapolating it to mean something entirely different.  take me off ignore and go back and carefully read my posts, otherwise stop making bold assertions which are not true.

I don't care if YOU think that I don't know what I am doing--I DO know what I am doing, and I do not need your assistance.  you take your own journey, and I will take mine.  New people reading this need to carefully read the information available and make their own decisions--they should not be discouraged by a "veteran" who routinely misinterprets nearly everything.

FP,

You have a lot of knowledge and experience with traveling in Russia and doing paperwork for marriage.  However you trying to lecture me on the ins and outs of marriage agencies in Ukraine is laughable.

Have you ever even visited the website for Mordinson??  www.mordinson.com

They do not have tarted up models in bikinis.  The women are very much just average regular women.  I would like for you to provide a link to any complaints about Mordinson, from customers, NOT from competitors.

You bandy about the word "cams".  Are you aware that 95% of AnastasiaDate women do NOT have cams??  (they call it video chat).  And regular chatting on AnastasiaDate is also a waste of money (no doubt you might be chatting with a translator and not the actual lady)  The cam business is apparently an invention of HRB.  I would not touch HRB with a 10,000 foot pole.  At least with AnastasiaDate, you can easily get a woman's contact information, WITHOUT chatting, and WITHOUT spending much money.  Your hodgepodge of misinformation is entertaining.  Is AWEB in my top 3 of recommended agencies??  No, once again read my thread AWEB/HRB versus two legitimate competitors to see why not.

You also like to speak out of both sides of your mouth.  You trumpet Neo's adventure in Odessa as being okay, while ignoring the fact that he broke every rule in the book.  Number one rule in the 10 commandments is to get the lady's direct contact information.  Neo failed miserably in doing this.  He should have gotten her direct contact information PRIOR to going to Ukraine.  If she would not give it, than he could have avoided the whole fiasco.  Than he proceeded to try to "buy" her affections.  etc etc  However in your book it's okay, because you think that Neo is more "experienced".

Mordinson has been active on the internet for a number of years. They were among the first to put up 'glossy' and model style photos of the girls. I have spoken to Michael on several occasions. Overall Mordinsons seems to be concerned about their reputation and interested in customer service.

As for direct experience, I suggest you send a PM to RWD member 'Bruce.' He does not post here as often as he used to, but when we first came over from Planet-Love, Bruce was among our more prolific members. At PL he went by the moniker of HockeyBrain, and you can find quite a number of his posts there.

BTW - I am pretty sure you will find Bruce's direct experience with Mordinson less than stellar - but you be the judge.

- Dan

My very first pick on the site: http://www.mordinson.com/cgi-bin/ownpage.pl?23-24/55

Very nice.  >:D  Hey, I'm human.

FWIW, my nephew was dating a girl that was on that site.

No idea. He dumped her when he found out she was with the agency. I didn't ask any more.

I've never claimed any knowledge of marriage agencies in Ukraine. Not once. I do have some experiences and other knowledge of agencies you have mentioned in various threads. But thats neither here nor there. I only attempted to relay some helpful info for your perusal as you seem to be your own worst enemy. I'm done with this discourse with you. But, I do wish you good luck and all the success you deserve. You'll need it ;D

Seems to conflict with Muzh's selection:

Seems to conflict with Muzh's selection:

There are always exceptions.  Look at the overall number in regular outfits on Mordinson.  than go to Aweb or HRB and look around.  Enormous difference.
Also look at "acceptable" age gaps for 20 something year old women on Aweb.  you will see 21 year old women who claim they are willing to date and/or marry men up to 80 years old, even 90 years old.  Give me a break, Pleeeeaaazzze!!
