Should be renamed Customer Disservice Center. (800)375-5283

Have any of you discovered a way to bypass the barricade of menu's and options and speak with a real, live Immigration Officer?

The recording tells me I must do this but I can't navigate through the menu's to get to the officer.

SoC,

Try this site:

Lists a ton of ways to bypass the automated phone systems for different companies/organizations.

I got through to a live guy on one occasion - and every phrase he uttered was laced with disclaimers. My best information came from boards like this one, and forcing a face to face at the local office, and at the expense of my vacation time.

Today we mailed, return receipt, the I-751 petition to remove conditions. To clear all that paper off our dining room table took a huge weight off my back.

This has been BY FAR the most effective method we've found to date. Hop onto infopass and make an appointment. Takes three hours everytime we go, but I always learn something new and they CAN give you a personalized response to your specific situation - above and beyond what the website and helpline zombies dole out.

I've had three occassions to speak with a body there. The first was very helpful and answered questions that I didn't know I needed to ask, the second was helpful but reluctantly, the third was a semi-literate moron who was rude and asked me for information regarding our case that had nothing to do with my question. Guess the toxins in the drinking water at USCIS are doing the job....
