Flights to DNK
« on: July 11, 2011, 11:46:32 AM »
Did something happen at the DNK airport? I was checking on flights. I can now only find a few in the fall and they are about 3x the cost! :o

What search engine are you using??  This sort of thing happens all the time.  Try using kayak or some others.  Keep trying.  It can change from hour to hour and day to day.  Don't fly thru Moscow.  Try Air France thru paris or Lufthansa thru Vienna or thru a German city.  Try flights thru Amsterdam.  Do fly thru Moscow.  Change it up and keep trying.  Go directly to websites for Air France, Lufthansa and any others you can think of.  Never give in, never give up!!

Best!!

I had the same problem. Go To Russia travel could only find me flights for $3000! I used kayak and found a flight for 1200 but I have to fly to Canada.

Kineo....based on your other thread  'planning', I assumed you already had your airfare booked.... going directly to DNK.

Maybe its time to fly to KBP instead, then figure a way to get down to Dnepro!!!
Just a thought...pricing would certainly be better.

I don't know what website you're checking but there are plenty of cheaper alternatives.

As one poster suggested above, try having a look at kayak - don't forget to change the country to USA.  Also try looking at skyscanner.net.

Having a look at the start of September and alternatively at the start of October, Transaero have flights for $750 via Moscow or if you don't want to go on that route then Austrian have flights from $1500 in Sept and $1100 in Oct via Vienna.

Also, be aware that not all flights operate every day of the week so if you narrow your search to a specific date then you may get very high figures.

The above prices are flying from New York

From what I can tell this is having something to do with Austrian Airlines' flights from Vienna to Dnepropetrovsk not show up in some of the reservation systems.

As I said above, try kayak.com or skyscanner.net.  This is where I got the prices above from.

With both of these, you don't actually book flights with them but they pass you on to the airline's own website and you book direct with the airline.

I don't know how you search.

Check Ukrainian airlines:
