I have never met any!!!
In fact, once while walking down Deribasovskaya toward sea, I stopped at an agency I saw advertised on a flyer...I went in ....looked at some of women's profiles. They said introduction
to girls was $100 per........I thought for a second, then asked, Is dinner included???? :cluebat:

To be honest...never dealt with the local agencies other than maybe their interpreter for a day or two. I have girls number and she has mine.
For placing an ad, maybe this can help: http://www.alyonushka.odessa.ua/services/additional.phtml

                         :welcome:

The trip has already been purchased?
I would suggest that it might be best to book a tour.....
available from commercial members here on this site.
I believe that names in the pocket are much better than searching the streets.
Notice my wife is from Odessa.

Not sure if this agency is actually home based there...

I recommend that you get in touch with a guy named Igor Kalinin who posts on these forums.  I'm sure he'll help you get an ad published.

http://www.igorkalinin.com/

He also does in-person translation, although I think he charges around $20 an hour.  Most of the agencies are using university students to do the translation at a lower rate.  Some people think it's better to use a woman as an interpreter.  Honestly, I can see the pros and cons of both.  Igor is a stand-up guy and has a good reputation.

Changing topics, I think newspaper ads are a waste of time.  I tried one and most of the responses I got were from women I wouldn't date stateside, much less in the FSU.  Women with children, older than me, overweight, etc.  The number of date-worthy responses I got was low.  I think that running newspaper ads is a dated technique: it was a good idea before the internet when there were few options.  These days virtually all women can get on the internet and it is better to try to meet women that way... whether on mamba, Elena's Models, lucky lovers, freepersonals, whatever.  I'd reconsider the approach you're taking if I were you.

Igor speaks nearly perfect English.

But he is now neither a stand-up guy nor has a good reputation.

He was basically ruined when a guy who had more money than he knew what to do with took Igor and his wife on a trip to Russia where Igor interpreted for this  guy.  Based on the money he was paid and all expenses, Igor got a huge head.  His prices went up along with his arrogance.

Some years later, he was hired to help a guy in Dnipropetrosk, and was hitting on the guy's girlfriend.

He charges something like $35 an hour, which by any North American standard, is not particularly significant.

How do you know he was hitting on the guy's girlfriend?

Boethius,
Because this was his girlfriend I assume. Why would he repeat someone’s libel without having direct experience and been there?

The only problem is my arm was cast in plaster and the girl should have been bruised and battered had I really ‘hit’ on her. No mentioning about it though.

I remember an unhappy customer.  Laptop was damaged during a move. Offered to buy him a new one. Same model..

Customer refused because we did not reimburse all the finance and late charges for the loan he took out to buy the original one.  More than a thousand bucks over the price of a new laptop....

You just cant win them all..

What a very unprofessional person!!

I know a guy (now dead - murdered) who used to work for a marriage agency in Bogota, Colombia.  I was told that he was fired for the job when I asked for him.  He was fired because of his unprofessional ethic as he was dating clients from the agency !!!

And through whose fault was the laptop damaged? The carrier?
